I LOVE The Wood Connection!! Their staff is always friendly and willing to help. I love the wide variety of wood items, paint, trims and paper they carry. The only complaint I have is that I spend way too much there because everything is so darn cute! Glad we have this store. Thank you!!

I like the various diy wood products that allow me to create decorations for display. My experience shopping here has been great. They have everything you need to copy their designs precisely or you can get a bit creative and make your own design. My experience attending a class, on the other hand, was a negative experience. Every time I needed paint I had to ask for it, and they would only give one color at a time. I thought there would be more instruction, but it was more of a everyone just go for it and if you needed help you could ask. I asked if I could bring my 8 and 10 yr old girls to join me, and even though I was told that would be fine, I felt their disapproval and felt largely ignored. They mentioned they were thinking about offering kids classes in the summer, but there are a few issues with that. First they have no sink. Instead they have wipes out in the tables. My 8 y old probably went through 30 wipes over the course of the class, cleaning her hands and the tablecloth. Then, they have no public bathroom, so when my daughter had to go, we had to pack everything up and drive somewhere else. Finally, the class is held in a carpeted room, and in my experience with kids, paint tends to get everywhere. I guess that's their choice, but I just can't see that carpet looking very nice after a few spills. I've had acrylic paint in carpet and it is not easy to clean up.Fine for getting supplies, but I think I'd rather just paint at home.
