Let me start by saying that the employee who helped me was wonderful, I think her name was Brandy, I felt so bad for her because she and the other bankers were busy with loan customers, and there was no one at the teller desk or drive-through window. We waited quite a while as more and more people queued up. Eventually, Brandy left her loan client to help at the teller desk, but the branch manager scolded her in front of everyone, telling her to only assist loan customers.
There were at least 8 people waiting in line for a teller, but the manager insisted that only loan clients should be helped. Without an ATM or drive-through teller, it's unclear how customers are supposed to make deposits or withdrawals if tellers are unavailable. After waiting for 15-20 minutes, everyone not there for a loan just had to leave. I've never seen a bank operate this way. They should designate this branch as loans-only if staff isn't allowed to help customers at the teller desk.
Again, Brandy was amazing, but the manager showed no empathy and seemed only concerned with loan clients.

I was just at the Wells Fargo office off Gentile in Layton. It is called the Fort Lane office. It was a frustrating and disappointing visit. The branch had customers at the three desks and they had no one working the teller line. One desk had two employees opening an account. The customer in front of me had been waiting for over 5 minutes and had been told they would just have to wait. I was the next in line and there were 4 others that came in behind me. One of the employees came over from her desk to help the first person and was told by, I assume, the manager that she needed to get back to her customer at the desk. I asked her what the rest of us should do and she said we would have to wait, not sure why she couldn't have helped us. I understand that things get busy but I stood for over 15 minutes with no one explaining the situation or even acknowledging my presence. Not the kind of customer service I expect. At that point I left and so did a couple of others. I drove to another branch on my way to an appointment and was promptly and courteously assisted. I am leaving this review in hopes that the Fort Lane branch will receive this feedback and improve their communication and client interaction.

Wells Fargo is just about the worst bank. I cannot wait to leave.

I honestly have no idea why people bank here. I have come here multiple times and the drive thru is always closed. I walked in and no tellers were working, so I walked to the loan officers. They were unable to help me and told me to visit another Wells Fargo location. I am switching to a Credit Union.

Aged and stuck in the 70s, this place really does need an update. Employees are as nice as they need to be, but no more. Pleased to never need to return here.
