Taken advantage of is the only way to describe my feeling after working with The Young Kia service department today. For a simple recalibration we were quoted ~$180 on the phone which is a fair price compared to other local Kia dealers. At the desk that quote was bumped up to $300 and this irritated me. However, we were assured that that it was a flat fee and the calibration and labor would be $300. We ask why the price changed and were told that the lady we spoke to didn't know and "that's what it costs." Connor (our service manager) then turned, talked to his buddies, and ignored us. Much more expensive than other dealers (that quoted $198 out the door), but we'd already made the drive and would remember to go elsewhere in the future. Two hours later we pick up our vehicle and the price was bumped up another 12% to $336 (not including tax - $364 out the door). We asked about the second price increase and were told that it was for an "environmental fee" and that we should have read the fine print. Never again and do NOT recommend using their service department. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I took my 2011 Volkswagen tigua to the young Volkswagen service department due to that I purchased this car in March and it needed to be looked at due to an engine light. After 3,500 they told me that it should run perfect and they would guarantee their work that yet it still had the timing belt that needed to be looked at in the future. Had the car for one week, broke down two blocks from their service in Layton. That cost me another $1,500. Had it for one day and the engine light came on again and we had it scanned that the 302 and 304 were misfiring. Have them take it back and they said oh it's going to cost another $700 to clean out the carbon on 302 and 304. When speaking to their service employee Brandon he always had an argument to give me I find him extremely arduous. Brendan needs some serious training and customer relationships.Hailey the receptionist at Young has more poise genuine customer service training top notch. Haley needs to give Brandon some lessons and customer service.Never will I recommend young service to anyone. It's all about the money. Not the actual repair and pleasing the customer to enjoy his vehicle. They do not stand behind their work. There is always a hidden cost.

If I could give zero stars I would. First things first, I go in looking at a couple Kia Souls, they were telling me all of them even though they were posted on the website were “sold out”. I ended up getting a 2024 Kia soul. Great car! However they kept me there for hours and made me late to work. They gave me an estimated payment. Then the next day AFTER I made my down payment they said I didn’t qualify for the lower payment and APR because I didn’t have 6 months of current car payments. That makes ZERO sense! My credit was great. It went from $377 at 6% then the next day $403 at 9%. Then OF COURSE after I am upset they magically got it down to $377 at 8%. Dave in finance is incompetent and he wasted my time. He was trying to be “nice” when I know he was trying to make commission off of me. I am still waiting on my license plates it’s been 7 weeks. They are saying that they need my old plates which NO ONE informed me. Then I called young Hyundai and they are saying that they cameAnd grabbed everything. Do NOT shop for a car here. People here are incompetent and do not do their jobs correctly. They took advantage of the fact I was a young female who they thought they could make commission off me. It has absolutely ruined the experience of buying a car for me. I have to BUG them to get my license plates when it is THEIR responsibility to get them to me. Don’t waste your time here. Go elsewhere.

Had to take our car in due to engine failure as the car we originally bought had a faulty engine. Thankfully was covered under warranty. However, the whole time we had it in the shop (about 2 months) we were not being updated. When we called for an update no one knew what was going on. We be told things we’re about to happen that happened 3 weeks before according to the last agent. When we towed the car there we called twice before towing (one 20 minutes before the arrival) and we’re told okay to do so. We had a feeling we should go check everything was good. They had no record of our car and we’re unsure if they had received it. Stated they had a car delivered but unsure whose car it was (the tower left a name with the keys that we saw there clearly labeled.) We were told Kia young would let us know when we could get a rental. When that time came we were not notified and then told they couldn’t help us or give us resources. I could continue to go on but moral of the story is don’t buy from Kia as they sell faulty products and attempt to scam you along the way.

Purchasing a new vehicle can be a bit stressful, but not at Young Kia Layton! I've purchased several vehicles in the past with other dealerships, and this is the only one I would recommend. My experience was fun, and I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you to Mason, John, and Jennifer! You were all so friendly and I appreciate you all helping me!

Yes I was trying to buy a car that they had I called I tried to see if I could put money down to hold it I told him I would be in we made an appointment I tell him I said I was very serious about buying this vehicle and everything was set to go I even called him up and told him I'm coming in early and that for the vehicle which was a 2012 VW Beetle they said everything was fine time I got there which I was on time they act like they were dumb shit and they told me that the vehicle was sold they didn't even have the courtesy to call me and tell me not to come in for my appointment to look at this vehicle I don't know I tried every way to put a hold on this vehicle and I've got the text to show it and they sold it what kind of crappy dealer is this

I couldn't be happier with my purchase and the friendly, not pushy sale person (Andy Opie and Taylor-trainee). They made us feel welcome and comfortable. Andy was very knowledgeable on the vehicle (KIA K5). I did a lot of research on multiple vehicle's (KIA K5, Camry, Sonota, Accord, Hybrids, EV's) for the last 2 years. Finally, I settled on buying a KIA. The salesman is always a deal breaker if Im going to buy or not. Andy was the perfect person to work with and I'd recommend him to anyone looking to buy a car. Young Kia does well with community out reach. They donate money to the Davis school district and give out prizes for coloring pages. In the past they have done trunk and other activities to involve and help out the community. I like this about young Kia, it shows they care.

I've had two great experiences here so far. The first was when my check engine light came on (it ended up being an easy inexpensive fix) and the other was for an oil change. I felt like the services were fairly fast, the prices were good, and I was well informed along the way. I decided to stay while they changed my oil and they have quite a few places to sit as well as snacks, drinks, and a coffee machine. The restrooms even have complimentary feminine hygiene products. If you get your oil changed during the week, they have a complimentary shuttle.When my car was done, it was cleaner than when I brought it in. They vacuumed and washed it for me!10/10 would highly recommend!

I had an excellent experience buying a Sportage from John P!! He's not the stereotypical sleezy car salesman. He was up front and honest. Pete in finance was also great to work with. I felt no pressure and everything went as smooth as I could ask for!

He thoroughly explained all of my options, let me test drive multiple vehicles, and listened to my wants. He was never pushy and really seems to have my best interests in mind which I appreciate so much. Thanks Boomer!

My experience at Kia Young was incredible. I was in and out of there with a new car in a couple hours! They set me up with the best financing options and helped me with buying my first car. I absolutely recommend them and I will be going back to get another car in the future!

My first time with Kia was a great experience. That's why I went back to talk to them about refinancing my Kia to get a lower payment. They said I couldn't since it was in a lease and I would have to buy a different car. I said okay with the understanding that i wanted to lower my payment. They showed me two other cars and I asked them what would be the monthly payment, they came out with $800-$1000 and obviously didn't listen to me on what we had talked about. The Manager came back with two other options that would be around the same monthly payment as the one I had, so we talked about the price and asked them about how much would I owe if I did the trade. They said it should be cover and I wouldn't owe anything. I left with a Volkswagen Atlas that same day 30minutes later went back because hood latch was broken and steering wheel had a Vibration 70+. They asked me where did I take it to get an oil change done and how did I break it? Dealer Told me they couldn't check it or do anything about It and had to wait 2-3 weeks. I was talking to the sales man, he came back and told me (It is what it is)as what the professional manager told him as she was passing by infront of me! As she passes by another time doing a gesture expressing her frustration of me being there and requesting for help or solutions for a car I only had for 1 day. Please before going to Young Kia dealer check other dealers around. Do research and honestly get treated better for your money some where else!!

When bringing in my Vehicle for regular maintenance I was contacted by the used car sales team. Stephen(Tall guy you cant miss) and John(Bald,Tattoos). They asked me if I was interested in trading in my car to-which I was definitely willing to see some upgrades. We explored options while my car was being serviced. Although we weren’t able to find an agreement point I loved how easy and non pressured I felt the whole time. I also loved riding/test driving the nicer cars they had to offer. If you’re thinking of trading in I would definitely ask for John or Stephen. And at the end of the day we still loved our car which we got from them beforehand anyways.
