Fun place that was a little overcrowded, but not too terrible. I haven't been on a weekend though, so it might be worse then. In the butterfly area, there are a small variety of butterfly species, and some of them will even land on a finger of the guests! I like that they have the area with the butterflies, then all the bug stuff to play on outside of that. There is also a play gym that is designed to look like an entomologist research treehouse, which is super cute (accompanied by a little play area for really little kids)! My 3 yr old and my 12 month old had fun
Kids were more orderly here than the curiosity museum, which was nice. I also appreciated that they didn't have many loose toys that could be thrown about like the curiosity museum.

Yes, we know it's after Christmas, people have time off and are enjoying their families... thats beautiful! But we went to the butterfly exhibit this morning and it was busy beyond what we've ever seen here. 70 bucks to go inside and see a dozen butterflies flying. The poor things seemed stressed. There were more than 100 people inside. No room to walk around and enjoy the butterflies. I think there should be a limit on how many people are allowed in the exhibit at a time. In the hour we were there we saw 2 butterflies. They were all hiding and majority of them were dead. We know the life span is short but I believe it's shorter when they allow so many people in at a time.

Such a fun place for kids. Safe and friendly environment. I even love the added insect ambiance they add to the insect room, lol jk. The roaches freak me out, but the kids love it. The butterfly room is gorgeous. It is warm in there, so dress in layers that you can take off. The membership to Thanksgiving Point is well worth it, as it does get you into a few other places as well.

We went for a field trip. I wasn't expecting much but it was delightful. I was just expecting a room with butterflies but they have a whole area for kids to explore and play. They also have so many darling Halloween decorations.
The field trip was AMAZING! The kept the kids engaged for 3 hours. Their staff is so great.
The butterflies are beautiful and magical. One even landed on me. Lots of learn about.

It’s a very small space and ridiculously overpriced.

I went here with my family, paid and entered the biosphere. There was hardly any butterflies, and they were all up in the ceiling sleeping. Me and my family weren't very impressed. After five minutes we left and went to the front desk to try and get a refund, mind you it is $27 per person, and they gave us some excuse about barometric pressure and refused to offer a refund. That's a lot of money for no butterflies. They basically stole our money with a falsely advertised experience.

Maybe if you have kids and are planning to spend the day but that wasn't me. I had no kids and only came at almost 5:00pm to take stock photos of butterflies. After paying the $24 admission, I was THEN told about their photography policy and not offered a refund. I did walk around and read all the signs and watched the butterflies but it wasn't worth $24. There was a very nice kids area and that alone would be worth the price, for a parent. The two room ant display was really cool but the rest was meh, at best. I would not have come if I knew about the photography policy so do wish that was more obvious on public info.

Super fun and unique experience. Lots of butterflies to admire. If you're lucky you can even hold one!

I love the butterfly biosphere! My favorite part is being able to go in where the butterfly’s are flying around and trying to get one to land on my finger. My son is afraid of the butterflies flying around but I’m hopeful that he will enjoy it eventually. My kids enjoy the play areas and looking at lots of different insects. The space isn’t huge and overwhelming which I am a fan of.
