Ok… where to begin. First off this was my first time renting a car. I went online and selected under lehi because that’s close to where I was dropping off my own vehicle to be fixed. I arrived at hertz and right off noticed there really wasn’t many rental cars considering when I booked online under that location there were tons. I got inside and spoke to who I believe introduced himself as Dan . Now the process to get your car is very easy and painless which I liked. I had an employee discount through my company but he said he found me a lower rate because my car was in the shop. Now here is where the problem starts… he says he doesn’t have a mid sedan and tells me I’m getting an upgrade. I get a BMW X1 and Im happier than Christmas morning. He goes out takes pics and looks at mileage, does NOT check the inside settings at all. I drive away and after 15 min in the car I realize I can see my breath and the heat setting is not working. I have a 18 month old In the car and he’s freezing . I call the hertz agent and tell him the heat is not working. He tells me to Google it … I tell him sure I will toverify I’m not an idiot and don’t know hot from cold. Still not working . I called hertz again and politely ask if I can return the car for something with heat he states we are closing and there are no other options. Minutes later a complete blizzard hits. There’s no auto defrost so I can’t see out of my front window to drive . Somehow by the grace of god and 5 mph and my head out the window I make it to my place. At this point I’m locked out of my house when I realize my house key is with the auto shop in af so the only way to get in is to drive back to the auto shop without heat or auto defrost it’s not happening. So I call hertz and am transferred 20 times until I get roadside assistance . The agent takes an hour to process this call then tells me a tow truck will be there in 60 min I get the text it says 120 min…. I have my brother coming to get me so I can get my baby to safety . They tell me I can’t leave I have to wait in or by the car with no heat. My brother gets there and we both call to see where the tow truck is after the time has passed. Well the tow truck driver canceled the tow because of weather go figure and I got no information on this. So I waited for nothing. They said they could get me a replacement but I would have to drive to Provo in the blizzard or Uber . The next day the car is picked up. 4 days later I receive a call .. from hertz in lehi telling me they need the car returned? After explaining the whole story to her I find out she is a manager from the saltlake store place at the lehi one to help the store since it’s struggling … makes since. She is awesome and great and within 10 min I receive my money back. It’s because of her I even continue to use hertz because this situation before her left me not ever wanting to return. I appreciate her just taking the time to listen and rectify the issue .

on top of being generally worse than other rental companies, this particular location has horrible service and the lady at front was a gaslighter and had the worst attitude.

I would give 0 stars if possible. Worst experience I ever had in my lifeI had worst experience for my reservationat Hertz Lehi location with Representative Wendy. When I arrived at Lehi Hertz location they already assigned me a Kia Sportage car. I asked if they could give me a different car they said no other cars are available other than ford edge. I asked with my presidents circle status if I'm eligible for any upgrades for which she said no and she clearly said if I want ford edge I should pay 40$ extra to my current Reservation which would be around 85$ since my Reservation is only for small SUV. I told her in hertz website/app its not showing me option to book ford edge but it is showing 7 seater SUV for around 60$ I asked her what car would I get for that reservation. she said there are no 7 seater cars available . I asked If I can get Ford edge even though I'm paying more for a 7 seater car I'm ready to take a 5 seater car.During all this conversation I was being very polite and she was being rude and also said she can kick me out.but what made me sad and hurt me deeply was she asked me why I dont want the car she assigned I told her I had knee surgery to which she said "OH FORD WILL MAKE YOUR KNEE BETTER"? I'M SPEECHLESS. And she didnt even apologize for that. She was totally being Racist and Rude for no reasonWhen I said I dont want to take the car she assigned she said she is still going to charge me since she printed the receipt even though I didnt touch the car. After this I made once more reservation at draper location for a 7 seater SUV and they also didnt have 7 seater car but they were kind enough to adjust my reservation to small SUV which is the exact one I booked at Lehi location and guess what they assigned me a FORD EDGE. I didnt even ask for it.If Hertz value their customers at all they would take an action about this. This is totally unacceptable no one should go through what I had gone through. If not as customer people should at-least learn to be respectfulAs a Human

I went to get my rental car this morning and had a terrible experience. Without getting into the boring details I was unable to rent the car based on a trivial technicality (that was not in the online rental agreement, I checked). However, much more than that no refund was issued AND MOST IMPORTANTLY the woman at the desk had the gall to say: "that's not my problem, it's your problem."Excuse me?! The literal job, the core function, of a rental car desk agent is customer service. Telling a customer it's their problem is the antithesis of that. Hertz will not be getting my business in the future.

I travel weekly and will NEVER use Hertz again. Stupid rules, making things difficult for travelers. Credit card issues. Never again. Too many other agencies that are eager to provide top notch service.

They book me for a 5 o'clock pick up. Showed up at 5 to find the doors locked and no one there.

After returning the Tesla I had rented we were charged about $220 in random charges to the my credit card. I called the local location and they said I had to call the billing team. They gave me a number to calma and I waited for 15 mins and no one picked up. I understand you Pat for the Tesla super charger charges but I charged at a super charger 5 times the whole trip and the charge was never over $30 so the math does not add up.Follow up: I was able to chat with Kerri via messenger and we were able to sort everything out. Super professional and quick! Appreciated the help!

Watch out. Good experience until I got the receipt, they completely tried to scam me saying there was missing equipment that was never there to begin with, saying the tank was full when rented (it wasn't, even the employee told me it wasn't when I picked it up), and other charges for damage that never happened with me. So overall make sure you check your receipt and you'll probably end up having to dispute something on your credit card since you can't get ahold of anyone via phone at hertz.

Probably the worst rental places I’ve ever rented from. Poor Worker literally told me their job was the worst. The Tesla we rented was not only super dirty but the battery was at 30% and the nearest supercharger was 40 min away. That’s more of the reason why I’m leaving this review. For anyone tempted to rent a Tesla, just know the nearest super charger is in Draper going up north and in Nephi going south. The Marriott in provo has a 6k watt charger but you have to pay to get in the garage, and after 45 min of charging it only went up 20% as well. Unless you have an adapter then you can use other charging stations but they don’t provide you with one.

If I could give negative stars I would! I spent hours finding the best rental I could and ended up with this place.. Huge mistake! My car broke down and I need a car to get to work. They have horrible customer service skills that leave a lot to be desired. They also close at 5 not 6 like it says online. I only live 5 miles away and they don't offer delivery or a shuttle, the only ride I was able to get to pick up the rental car could not get me there in time because they close at 5 which I only found out about cause I called. They would not work with me so I wasnt able to even pick up the car! Now I'm out all the time and research I did, and might lose my job. Don't count on them! Spend the extra few dollars a day and go to a more customer based business that doesn't treat you like a pain in their side.

I would NOT go here - the guy was nice but mislead us thinking we were only going to pay a total of $200 for the rental plus have a $200 holding fee that we will get back once car is returned but that wasn’t the case. We had a pending charge of $600 and when we returned car we got back $200 so paid a total of $400, when we should have only been charged $200 after car was returned. Not happy about this.

The most horrible customer service. I went to pick up my car rental at 5pm which was noted on my reservation. I showed up at 5pm and two workers were sitting inside and would not come to the door even though they both saw me. Never will we go here again.

If you stop in Lehi and you need a rental car get a hold of Hertz car rental and ask for Ross he is the guy he’s a very nice gentleman and he runs a good car rental business, also make sure you talk to him about Iron Maiden I educated him a little bit about them. (Just so we’re clear he’s never heard of them in his life but I love that band and they were playing Salt Lake City days after I rented a car so that’s why I brought up the conversation and he had a smile on his face the whole time,a really nice guy)
