“Very easy and convenient pick up and drop off location. Fast and friendly service. The 20-foot truck was reliable and did the job for what we needed. The truck was in good clean condition for the most part. I just had to sweep the top shelf and the ramp was covered in pine needles when I extended it. It would help a lot to have that cleaned off ahead of pick up.”

“UPDATE: I am editing this due to owner involvement. The following day after the transaction, the owner did issue a refund to resolve the problem. We had already completed the refund through Uhaul, so we issued them the refund back. While I do not like that I was told there was nothing they can do originally, I do appreciate the owner just handling it to fix the problem. Because of this, I have changed my review. 4 stars, but would have been 5 if the worker at the time had taken a little extra time to resolve the issue or at least let me know they would work on it the following day.

ORIGINAL POST: Look at the ratings people. Rented a Uhaul and drove it 3 miles. They charged us $69 because it showed we did 50 something miles. I called and said I have photos, and what I was told by Utah (yes that is his name) was there was nothing they could do and I had to call Uhaul. Making mistakes is not an issue, but putting the problem solving solution back on the customer who didn't make the mistake is not cool. We called Uhaul, sent the photos and got a refund. We were told the store could have done this if I had photos....so apparently they just don't want to put the work in.

Look, you have to trust the people who work on your car with a high level of ethics that they will do what's right and not skimp corners. If they handle. Uhaul this way, can't imagine they do any better on your car. I am filing a complaint with Uhaul regarding this station and indicating that there may be some funny business going on since 50 something miles seemed to have appeared from no where. If you have to rent a Uhaul, triple check your stuff. Pictures of everything. If you are taking your car in for work.....I'd say be cautious.”

“Truck was great, rental process was easy. But they added the $14 "safemove" automatically without asking me beforehand if I wanted it or wanted to decline (I usually decline). Just be prepared to bring up this point and not let them add it if you don't want it.”

“James Murray in American Fork was THE bright spot in a very challenging Budget Car Rental situation. I originally rented at the Provo airport, but wound up with a sporty sedan that sat too low to the ground for my 84 year old disabled dad traveling with me. After 3 days, I returned to Provo to see about swapping it for something a little higher off the ground, but the agent would not work with me. If I wanted to swap cars, I would need to pay an additional $400 for the remaining 3 days in a larger vehicle. I showed the agent I could rent the same larger vehicle he was offering, for half the price on the Budget website a few miles up the road. The agent wouldn't budge, so I returned the sedan early and ran up to the Orem location where I had reserved a larger car online. Upon arrival in Orem, the agent said they were sold out, even though they had given me a confirmation number. Her solution was to send me to Enterprise across the street. I had to ask her to find me another Budget location with availability. After being bounced around with no help, I landed in front of James Murray at the American Fork Budget Car Rental. Not only did he empathize with my TERRIBLE experience at the airport, he offered a free upgrade to an even larger car that would be easier for my elderly parents to get in and out of.
