5 stars for the garden center and employees in the store.
1 star for the older gentleman in tool rentals who is dishonest and adds the extra optional fees, even when declined and says that’s part of the total and can’t be removed. Once I got home and saw the email breakdown, it showed he added optional protection fees. Avoid tool rentals if the older gentleman is working the desk or be ready to make sure he is upfront and honest.

Horrible experience at the Lindon Utah store I was getting a lot of 2x6x12 and the employee informed me that they couldn't use the forklift to lift them down because he would have to close the aisle so I had to proceed to pull the stack over basically on my head

I like Home Depot. I like the lindon store. I’ve literally spent $200,000 or more there personally and through my business. This time I’m very frustrated with how some of their employees handle things.
As a business owner, I’m busy and my time is important. Others count on my time as well. They have a large white sign at the checkout that says “LINE START HERE” ! I assume that’s exactly what it means and why they have it there.
I show up with my things, a lady is in front of me, and others start congregating to the right of us, across from us, and not one word from the employees standing there to direct traffic to the registers. He simply says ok whoever is next! Someone across goes. Finally I holler out, “is this not where the lines starts?” He says, I don’t know?” I say, “What do you mean you don’t know? Why is this sign there?” He answers they make them put it there. I reason why then do they make a sign if it is meaningless, he answers, “ I don’t know?” I insist with they put it there for a reason so everyone can get through the registers, he responds, I don’t care!
I was furious as it’s an issue of fairness to those who show up first, they should get to go through the registers and on their way instead of all us deciding who was first like we’re at a 4-way stop! His attitude was lais·ser faire and complacent. As a business owner I would have been upset with my employees attitude if he was employed by me. He’d be picking gum off the floors and scrubbing around the water closet bases.
It infuriates people when there is clearly a policy and it is lackadaisically respected and not enforced when pointed out. It leaves one feeling overpowered and helpless, or
upset and frustrated when justice is not enforced, respectfully.
Customer training with employees is needed and who spends money there so they can have a job.

Today my husband and I went to Lindon Home Depot trying to find a solution to get our grass streamer working. There were several workers offering to help but nobody could really meet our need. Finally Marcos M in the tool rental center patiently listened and spent lots of time solving our problem. He was amazing and made our day! Thank you, Marcos.

Thank you Selma from the service desk! She took care of us after dealing with a disgruntled, disrespectful employee. Her customer service was top notch and she made us have a good experience after having a bad one with someone else. I hope she gets recognition because she really is awesome!

I booked a bush cutter online and called the night before to inquire about picking it up earlier than my reserved time of 10 am. They said nobody had it booked for the morning but couldn't confirm then, suggesting I call back in the morning. The next day, I received an email stating my reservation was canceled. When I called, they explained they only had one bush cutter and it wa down due to a breakdown. It would have been helpful if they had mentioned this the previous night. Cancelling my reservation just 3 hours before pickup was very disappointing.

Holy cow I've never been more disappointed in home Depot until now.
I was trying to find a 46" husky pegboard online to fit onto my 46" mobile workbench. In the Husky paperwork it says there's additional attachments for the workbench. I tried finding the husky website that was provided but everything get routed to Home Depot. I called corporates customer service and they told me the 52" pegboard would fit on the 46" mobile workbench.
Feeling a little skeptical and knowing my luck with projects, I decided to measure twice and cut once. I called the Lindon Pro Customer desk and immediately got put on hold without a welcome greeting or anything (I only know this cause it rang for a long time, then someone picked up the receiver and home depot theme song started playing).
After a brief moment, The lady answered the call stating that its the pro desk I'm reaching. I explained the situation of trying to find the 46" Pegboard for the workbench and she tried looking for it as well and wasn't able to find anything within the store. which is totally fine, it happens.
My issue is this:
When I told her I called the Corporates customer service and they said the 52" pegboard would fit the 46" workbench, she said "cool" and immediately hung up the phone. No validation that it could or "Thank you have a nice day". None of that.
Usually, I don't like to leave bad reviews but this one irked me a bit. Home Depot, you need to do better. I don't mind receiving bad news. If the product is not in stock; it's not in stock. but to have that type of customer service on a local level is terrible. The corporate guy was great. Local chick was a unprofessional.
