I was helped by a woman with long black curly hair. I didn't catch her name but I wish now I would have asked her because I haven't stopped thinking about her since I left that store. She was very nice. Probably the nicest woman I have ever encountered, also very helpful. She sure put a smile on my face. The world definitely needs more store associates like her. I feel bad I cannot remember her name because she deserves to know what a wonderful person she was to deal with.

I write this message to bring forth PEACE LOVE UNITY & RESPECT. And I did not feel respect here.Upon entry to the store there was a young man sitting on the floor stocking some items. He looked at me, said nothing & adjusted turning his back to me.When I came out of the restroom this time he was standing at the register & again turned his back to me.When checking out he couldn't seem to look me in the eye or acknowledge me at all. And only answered where we could find items when the white male with me asked. When saying the price for the items he looks at the white male I am traveling with & says the total.I am not sure if this is his general attitude or if he is acting this way because I am an African American woman. But I find it to be rude & unacceptable regardless of what region of America I am in.I almost didn't post this. But I decided I want to live in a brighter world & it's my duty to speak up about things that I feel aren't in line with Peace love unity & respect.I did not catch the young man's name. But this happened 9/13/23 @ approximately 9:30pm

This location was very disorganized. My family and I were traveling through from Fish Lake down to Capitol Reef and back up to Fish Lake. We stopped here to purchase some water and other items. Because the national park visitor center restrooms were closed, it had been several hours since I was able to find an open restroom. Family Dollar's restrooms had a sign stating they were closed to customers. When I asked if there was any way I could use it, the completely clueless employee told me that the state was still at level red (it had been yellow/low for weeks at that point) and I couldn't make her take that risk. Okay, so a bladder infection is okay? By the way, she kept trying to argue with us that Utah was red/high and not yellow/low risk. Family Dollar needs to check on this location and make sure they are using their brains and following current guidelines. Also, clean up the store.
