Great selection of sporting goods and camping gear along with a great bike and ski shop. Helpful friendly staff!

The staff have always been super helpful. They also have a great selection of quality gear for most outdoor sports. They probably have the best climbing gear selection in Logan. I also like the frequent sales that they have since gear prices have gone up a lot in the past few years.

Al's sporting is a fantastic place to both buy and get your MTN bike worked on - these guys in know their stuff - I go to the Logan store and have always gotten excellent service - and a special mention to James in bike repair for going the extra mile to keep me riding. Highly recommended!

They have a large selection of merchandise. My one issue was number of employees working in the shoe department. One person is not adequate to provide good service to 20 people trying on shoes. She was trying hard but.....

I ordered several pairs of shorts which showed available, but the order was canceled by the store because they didn't have the items. Seemed too good to be true, and it was. Won't be doing any more shopping with them.

We love shopping at Al’s. I went in last week to buy the On running shoe I had been eyeing for several months and they were no longer on the shelf. I was so bummed. Scott was helping me find shoes for my kids, and he told me that yes, he was pretty sure the ones I wanted had sold out. He then disappeared for a bit, and came back out with the last pair…in my exact size!! It made my day that he put in extra effort to find them for me.

Seems like a great store; clean, well stocked, organized. Stopped in to pick up an RMR optic but saw a Springfield Hellion on the rack. $1800, which isn’t bad, so I waited for an employee to close the sale. Thirty minutes later, I was still waiting and no one seemed interested in selling merchandise. So, I left. No Hellion, no optic, and my AmEx card dissatisfied at not being brought out to play. Now, one unhappy customer won’t close Al’s down, but I don’t think I’ll return.UPDATE ——————————I noticed Al’s posted a response with an invitation to return to the store in hopes I would have a different experience. First, the fact they responded at all was impressive, so I decided to return. Holding a grudge is so 2023.On Friday, 4-5-24 I went back to Al’s to purchase two fairly high priced items. I had my research completed, conviction in my heart, and my AMEX in my hand. This purchase would total about $1600 + $400 in tax stamps. If you know what a tax stamp is for, you know what I’m talking about.I went to the Shooting department and found the case with the items I wanted. Stock appeared low, but I knew this wasn’t Al’s fault, these products are hard to come by these days.A blue shirted employee was nearby, helping another customer. I waited, but when that customer left, the employee immediately assisted a group that had just walked up. Ok, I took the Ted Lasso/Goldfish tactic on this one and waited while wondering if some strange body odor kept the employee away. No, I distinctly remembered showering not two hours earlier. The employee finished with that group, turned and walked away. Now, I get it. I’m kind of easy to miss. My 6’3”, 240 lb frame is pretty diminutive in the wrong light, and he may have just missed me standing there. I waited for another 10-15 min hoping like a poor kid on Christmas the employee would return. This was not to be.I walked about 10’ to the register/counter to find three employees discussing something of great importance. It had to be something serious otherwise surely one of them would try to sell me something. Certainly they would take my money as a means of satisfying their duty as an employee of Al’s Sporting Goods. Nope, they looked in my direction and must have concluded my credit card would given them an STD or signal the apocalypse because they were not going to risk uttering the words, “Can I help you.”I went to the front of the store and asked an employee if a manager was available. Asst. Mgr. Scott showed up in just a few seconds. He was cordial, understanding, and concurred that employees should do better. Sadly, he brought no F*&ks with him, because it was crystal clear he didn’t have one to give up over this unfortunate but irreconcilable issue. Scott was truly impressive as he had an ability to seem genuinely concerned while not having the slightest care what his employees were doing rather than selling merchandise, or what might get my credit card out of my wallet and into his hand. Scott has a future in government work if Al’s ever releases him from his responsibility of sporting goods leadership. As much as I wanted to believe Al’s heartfelt apology, and their loving desire for me to have a good shopping experience, I’m afraid I’ve lost trust in our relationship. Al’s is the O.F. wife who promised she would stop after the ring went on, but I walked in on yet another f-fest only to be humiliated once again. My conclusion through all of this is that Al’s is less of a sporting good store and more of a sporting goods warehouse where employees jealously guard their products so customers can’t arrange payment and walk out with anything. It’s a bold move, Cotton.. but I don’t think it’s a winning strategy.Smith and Edwards Co., 45 min away in Ogden will have to suffice. The drive will give me time to think about how the f--- Al Larson managed to keep this place in business all these years.

Local Utah sporting goods store. They have a big selection of name brand equipment. They frequently have sales. They sell firearms and ammo. They have pretty good customer service. Veteran discount is offered. The long guns aren't behind a counter so you can check them out very conveniently. The handguns are locked behind glass. Great store!!

It's a good place for all kinds of sporting equipment. They carry very high quality stuff. They don't have a good variety of cheaper options if you're not that serious or just starting a sport but what you get will be high quality.

As a female looking to buy a gun without my husband, I was shocked on the little to no help I was given at the gun counter. I would see younger males come in and get helped right away and then I just stood there with zero help. When I asked a question, it was a quick blow over of the answer and then help somebody else. Most the time the guys that were coming in were just looking. I was there to buy. I even called somebody out on it. To say the least, I left discouraged and drove to another place in town to see how they reacted. They were helpful and kind from the very beginning. So I bought with them. So now, every time I go to a different sporting good places, I have my husband not walk up with me to see how they react. Everyone helps me except this place. And it’s happened twice there. I took my female business somewhere else. I Won’t go back to a place who only helps females if they have a man with them. Their lost, I guess

I've purchased a few items from Al's per year for the past 6 years. I've found the products I've been looking for at the best prices with fast shipping. I recently ordered an item, it shipped, and a few days later the price dropped. I called customer service on a Saturday and got the price difference refunded to my credit card quickly and professionally. I continue be impressed by Al's and look forward to shopping with them again.
