Awesome little book store with great prices! The owner was very nice and spoke to me about books I was interested in, and even suggested some new ones that I’m going to try. Definitely recommend stopping by and seeing what they have to offer!

My 3 boys and I visited Grandpa’s Bookshelf a few weeks ago. My oldest (8) went in hoping to find a certain book series. The sweet man at the counter (who based on other reviews I’ve read, I’ve determined is the owner) listened to his request, apologized that he didn’t have any in stock at the moment, and then when we went back to browsing, I watched him head back to the rear of the store.He returned a few minutes later with a book in hand. “Based on what you were hoping to find, I think you might like this one.”My son has been a “reluctant reader” (I think he’s just been waiting for the right book to come along). And what do you know, the one offered by the shop owner was it :) Normally a suggestion from mom or dad that he practice reading was met with frustration and some self doubt. Now he’s eager to read to us. Yesterday, when we were talking about how much he’s read, he said “I’m proud of myself.”So, while the shop itself is absolutely delightful and cozy, has something for everyone, and allowed me to re-stumble upon some nostalgic books from my childhood—100 stars for that sweet shop owner whose love of books and reading is so very apparent, and who took the time to listen and respond and ignite a love of reading in a little boy. We’re customers for life ?

This is my favorite bookstore! My friend and I like to come here and look for books together. I always find books I've wanted but haven't been able to find anywhere else. For great prices too! It's definitely worth shopping for books here. The store is always very well organized and the owner is very nice and helpful.

I really love how this place is a mix of everything at once! It has this cozy atmosphere and everything has this iconic old book smell. It has so many books i would probably never see in other book places! I love it here :3
