I was so excited to find an amazing deal on a storage unit at first. After being with Extra Space Storage for 4 months they raised our rate, then 4 months later they raised the rate again. We now pay triple our original expense for the unit after only 8 months.
The whole reason we started with Extra Space Storage was because the original price was superior to all the competition in the valley. Now we are paying more than other storage units in the area. Extra Space Storage feels like a bait and switch.

I had this storage unit for two years and without notification they started charging me an outrageous amount. When I talked to them in person they informed me it had been raised based on the “street value” of the unit. I don’t have any faith in a company that will change the price as they see fit and without notification.

These folks are awesome, Nicole & Kaitlyn are very professional and took care of everything over the phone and through emails.
This made our move much much easier and relieved quite a bit of stress. Plus the pricing was way better than the competition. You cant go wrong by using them.

Extra Space Storage is a textbook example of bait-and-switch. They reel you in with a low rate, then hike it up every six months like clockwork; no improvements, no justification, just pure greed. What started as an affordable option quickly turned into the most expensive unit in town. I'll never go back. It's a predatory business model designed to squeeze loyal customers for every dime. Avoid them unless you enjoy surprise bills!

DO NOT RENT HERE. Bait and switch rate masters! Lease allows for unlimited rate increase to Market Rate, but Market Rate is impossible to determine. An 88% rate increase month over month. A 140% rate increase after 10 months. DO NOT RENT HERE.

These guys were easy to talk to and get a unit set up. Their regular pricing is almost as low as other companies' half off introductory pricing. They have good security. The unit was clean. I've already suggested them to a friend.

This storage company has changed ownership several times, and with that they have been raising their rates every 6 months until we were forced to move out. I’ve had a storage unit here for 8 yrs and after extra space bought out the old company they started raising rates. I’ve called and asked if they offered anything for the long time renters like us, but the lady said nope, and I told her I was going to have to cancel, and it didn’t even phase her, and she emailed me the move out process.

My storage price was $68 last September. In January it increased to $91. This month it increased to $171. All these increases without warning! This is insane! I am moving to a different storage company this weekend. Way to lose all your loyal customers. Way to go Extra Space! I do not recommend anyone rent a storage space from this company!
