Mike Borys and Dave Rosza are flat out awesome men and bankers. Our business went through multiple banks before ending up at Fortis. Let me tell you they and their technology are top notch!

People here act nice to your face, but are pretty scummy behind closed doors.

To help any individual interested in working with Fortis Bank, I figured I'd share my experience I recently had with them. Keep in mind, this is only one opinion and one experience, but I feel compelled to share in full my brief interaction with this bank and its employees.I was referred to the Chief Banking Officer, Jeremy Lowry, from a contact at another banking institution. Jeremy responded via email quickly and mentioned he would be available to jump on a phone call later that afternoon to discuss my needs and to see if Fortis Bank would be a good fit for me. Jeremy wanted to include the Managing Director of the Union Park Ave branch, Preston Keller, whom I had the majority of the rest of my Fortis Bank interactions with. This all occurred on April 20, 2020.I never received a phone call from either individual on April 20th. I also never received anything the next day. on April 22nd, I decided to reach out to Jeremy to see what happened and if we were going to schedule a call. Jeremy responded and assured me they would "get with [me that] afternoon." So as to not waste their time or mine, I asked if they could just tell me if Fortis Bank had an API, as that was the main reason for looking for a new bank. If they didn't, there would be no need to even have a phone call and we could move on. Jeremy mentioned that Preston was looking into it and, again, would "get with [me] shortly." Instead of a phone call (which I was promised 2 days earlier), Preston sent me an email asking what our needs were revolving around the "application programming interface." Immediately, I knew I was dealing with individuals who aren't well-versed in the technology world and wouldn't be a good fit for us. Not to mention, they still refused to jump on a phone call with me.Preston had to reach out to a colleague to confirm whether they had an API or not, and it turns out that they utilize a licensed API from an outside company. It took multiple days of back-and-forth to receive an answer for a simple question. This could have been solved in 2 minutes during our originally planned phone call. Nonetheless, I had my answer and could finally begin our business discussion. Instead of jumping on our overdue phone call, Preston requested usage stats and future plans for our company to accurately gauge how they could help. I provided a lengthy email with all the pertinent information. An entire week went by without any reply. When I finally reached out for an update from them, their response was that they have their hands full with PPP loans and that they didn't have time for "new business opportunities." Preston went on to state that they could probably give me a response (response for what? was my thought) by that Friday. They seriously were telling me that they required 2 full weeks to even begin a discussion that was supposed to have happened back on April 20, 2020. This date was April 29, 2020, 9 days after our first contact. 9 days!I responded by telling both Preston and Jeremy that I was extremely disappointed in their handling of this situation and that I, begrudgingly, would wait until Friday to hear from them. I had hoped that my experience thus far was not indicative of how Fortis Bank treated potential clients. I even told Preston and Jeremy that I welcomed them proving my experience wrong and proving that Fortis Bank does, indeed, care about its clients and potential clients.I received a response from Preston on April 30, 2020 stating they will "pass on this opportunity at this time," and that was it. Nothing else. I never spoke with them on the phone, I never had an opportunity to learn about Fortis Bank, I never had an opportunity to even begin a discussion at all with them. I waited 10 full days to speak with them, and nothing. They completely wasted my time. There is not doubt in my mind that if I were a "larger" client, they would have spoken to me on the phone that first day.Again, this is just my experience, but they completely wasted my time and di
