“When you walk into a mortuary, it’s not because life is going well. It’s because something in your world has shattered—and you’re trying to figure out how to move forward while holding pieces of your heart in your hands. That’s exactly where I was when I found Premier Funeral Services… and I can say, without hesitation, they carried me through one of the most painful moments of my life with more compassion, dignity, and humanity than I ever could have expected.
My mother had just passed, and I was overwhelmed in a way that words don’t even begin to cover. Grief doesn’t come with instructions. It doesn’t tell you how to make decisions, how to function, or how to say goodbye. But from the moment I connected with Marjorie Smith, something shifted. She didn’t just “do her job”—she stepped into our grief with us.
Marjorie Smith went far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. She made herself available to me in ways I will never forget—taking calls after hours, giving me direct access to her time, her guidance, and her heart when I needed it most. In moments where everything felt urgent, confusing, and heavy, she was steady. She never made me feel like a burden, never made me feel like I was asking too much. Instead, she met me with patience, compassion, and a willingness to walk through every single detail with me.
She didn’t just care for my mother—she honored her. She treated her with dignity, with gentleness, with a level of respect that brought me real comfort in a moment where comfort felt almost impossible. And when it came time for me to see my mom, Marjorie handled everything with such care and thoughtfulness that it allowed me to hold onto an image of peace instead of pain. That is something I will carry with me forever.
And what meant just as much is that her care didn’t stop with me—she showed up for our entire family. She created a space where we could ask questions, process, and simply exist in our grief without feeling rushed or overlooked. That kind of presence, that kind of humanity, is rare.
There was no coldness. No feeling like we were just another case. Instead, there was warmth, understanding, and this quiet, unwavering support that made all the difference.
They didn’t just provide a service—they gave my mother dignity in her final journey. They gave our family peace in a moment where peace felt impossible. And they gave me something I didn’t think I’d find in that space: comfort.
If you are ever in the position of needing these services—and I pray you’re not for a long time—please know that where you choose matters. Who you trust matters. And I can say with my whole heart that Premier Funeral Services is a place where your loved one will be cared for with respect, compassion, and genuine humanity.
And Marjorie Smith… what you gave to me, and to my family, goes far beyond what words can fully express. But please know—it mattered. It all mattered.
In loving memory of my mother, Susan Fernandez—

“When my father passed away in Vancouver, Washington, his final wish was to be buried in Utah. During one of the most difficult and emotional times our family has ever faced, we were overwhelmed with grief, logistics, cultural responsibilities, and the uncertainty of how we were going to bring him home. I reached out to a close friend of mine Jesica Rodriguez to ask for help she promptly jumped in to action and connected us with Caleb Cash a colleague of hers.
From the very beginning, Serenity Funeral Home and Caleb Cash stepped in and lifted an enormous burden from our shoulders.
They coordinated every detail of transporting my father from Washington to Utah, worked seamlessly with the funeral home in Washington, handled the necessary paperwork and death certificates, and guided us through every step of the process with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care.
As a Polynesian family, there are many cultural traditions and expectations surrounding the passing of a loved one. Caleb understood the importance of honoring our family and our father with dignity and respect. He treated us like family from the moment we met him. Although we had never known each other before, he made us feel as if we had been lifelong friends.
What stood out most was his communication. During a time when emotions were high and decisions were difficult, Caleb kept us informed every step of the way. He was patient, compassionate, and always available when we had questions or concerns.
When we saw my father, Caleb and his team had prepared him so beautifully that he looked as handsome and peaceful as we remembered him. That moment meant more to our family than words can adequately express.
From the hospital to the graveside service, everything was handled with excellence, care, and attention to detail. There were no surprises, no confusion, and no added stress. Serenity Funeral Home allowed our family to focus on honoring my father and supporting one another instead of worrying about the countless details involved in funeral planning.
Our family will forever be grateful to Jesica Rodrigues, Caleb Cash and the entire Serenity Funeral Home team. They honored my father's life, served our family with love and compassion, and provided comfort when we needed it most.
If you are looking for a funeral home that will treat your loved one with dignity and your family with genuine care, I cannot recommend Serenity Funeral Home highly enough.
Thank you, Jesica Rodrigues, Caleb Cash. We will never forget what you did for our family.

“Corey was amazing to work with, kind, very knowledgeable, always on top of everything so I didn't have to worry about anything. He always seemed to be one step ahead and had the answers and solutions to my questions when I asked them. He was thorough with everything and left nothing unattended. He took so much burden off our family and let us have the chance to grieve when my son passed unexpectedly last month. I am beyond grateful for his gift of peace that he gave our family. I would recommend Corey and Family Funeral Care to anyone that needs funeral assistance.”

“I contacted Care Center of Utah to assist in moving a client back to Reno. Matthew was quick to respond with removal from hospital, proof of certificates and costs. His costs were significantly less than quotes received by other funeral homes in the area. His personal staff delivered deceased to Reno to accommodate the families quick request for burial. Matthew provided excellent and professional service and would use again for needs in the Salt Lake area. My family was impressed with this cooperation too.
Thank you!”

“A loved one’s passing is never easy. I want to express my gratitude to Larkin. I received the death certificates earlier than expected by 1 day because they made a special trip from their Salt Lake location.
I had my husbands remains in a beautiful urn in 5 days. They were professional and caring. As an added benefit, they offered a free after-care service that helped me navigate, among other things, Social Security and Identity Fraud.”
