VERY expensive, with no published prices. be prepared for a shock. Half a grand for colour only? And disappointing results. Paid extra for a fix that didn’t take. I declined a repeat appointment but they booked it anyways.

I started seeing Ali a little over a year ago for cuts and color. Every visit with her leaves me enjoying my hair more and more knowing she prioritizes hair health and is realistic about hair goals. She is one of my favorites :)

Harli was amazing! We went in with kind of an idea for a shorter cut and she took her time and helped us figure out exactly what would be best for my daughter. It was the best cut we’ve ever had for her!

Hair type: Fine hair, had bleach damage and breakage
Stylist: Krista is the bomb. Funky AWESOME hair color that STAYS. She also helped restore me to hair health and gave me protocols and recommended treatments so it could grow long again and continue to color. So thankful I found Krista and Lunatic Fringe!

I went to LF because I thought paying such high prices means the stylist does a fantastic job. I left the first time with orange highlights, when I specifically said I need to process past that orange color. I also showed him pics of exactly what I wanted. I gave him a second chance and I again left with orange highlights. I went in to have them fixed and he only put in a few foils when I had originally paid for a full highlight.
The cut I got was okay.
I'm disappointed that I spent nearly $1K for hair I wasn't happy with. Especially since I had said what I did and didn't want, and had brought photos.
I also don't like how treatments and products are pushed. If I want something, I'll ask for it.
I'm never going back.
EDIT to add: I went in 3 times, so that would mean she'd need to look for 3 invoices.

Hands down the best salon experience I've ever had. The service to the amenities to the products make it very high end and a luxury experience. I personally see Lauren the owner, and she has given me the best color of my life since I've started going to her. Can't recommend this place enough.

Ali did such an amazing job with my haircut! My hair feels so healthy and soft and my curls are coming back all thanks to her. She’s also so kind and makes me feel so comfortable and confident in her chair. 10/10 would always recommend her :)

Loved my experience at the Salon! Marlie was able to fit me in the next day and she did an AMAZING job on my hair. I was so nervous to make a change to my hair but she made me so comfortable and hyped me up the whole process. She was so sweet and easy to talk to through my whole appointment! I travel most of the year and stopped in to Lunatic Fringe for a cut and some color maintenance. Chloe did a quick assessment and gave thoughtful suggestions on treatments to make my hair look more natural and healthy. She nailed it on the cut & color, and my hair’s texture is AMAZING! What a difference! ! I also like how the shampoo room has relaxing spa music to promote relaxation while the main area is brighter and more upbeat. When I am in town again I will most definitely be going back!

I’ve been to Katie a few times and I absolutely love her. She is super kind and easy to talk to. She does exactly what you want. My hair feels and looks so good every time. This is my first time going to the new location and it is so luxurious. I could not recommend enough!

I started going to Lunatic Fringe when I moved to salt lake two years ago and absolutely loved getting to know my stylist Maddie. She always listened well AND helped walk me through my ideas. I haven't been able to book with her recently since she's taking some time away so I was nervous to switch but I am just as obsessed with Sara! I went to get roots touched up at the end of the day and for whatever reason the color didn't take- Sara and two other stylist jumped in to help get it fixed so fast. They made sure I had snacks and beverages. Made sure this worked with my schedule. AND Sara still took the time during the second hair wash to make it feel like a spa day and not rushed. Inflation makes everything feel extra costly lately but for the atmosphere and the way I am treated at lunatic, I don't think I will be going anywhere else while it's around- it's worth it!
