Honest to the core. Prices are very fair.
We’ve been taking our cars to Young Brothers for many years now, and they have helped us nurse along a 19 year old 250k mileage “kid car” that is reliable and safe. Always honest about what needs to be done now, what needs to be done soon, and what can wait.
They are busy, so repairs can and do spill over into the next day. Set your expectations appropriately.
They also like MOPAR, but I won’t hold that against them. ?

My experience seems to be the exception rather than the rule, but I cannot recommend Young Brothers. Every part they sold me has broken prematurely.One of those parts was a faulty alternator that only lasted a couple months. After having it for a very short time it started acting up; my truck lost all power to the electrical systems while I was driving. I took my truck back and described the break down I had experienced. They "fixed" something completely unrelated (my EGR valve). My truck made it less than 2 miles before breaking down in the exact same manner it had before. I called and they swore up and down that it was the battery. Trusting them I replaced the battery and set off on a trip home for Thanksgiving weekend. I made it a little past Tremonton before the alternator started acting up again; my truck broke down and I was stranded in the middle of nowhere at 10pm the night before a holiday. Same electrical problem as the last two times. After a friend kindly drove all the way from Draper to rescue me I had the alternator tested and confirmed that it was faulty (I had paid extra for this alternator because Young Brothers told me it would last longer). Since it was under warranty I was able to return it.I get that sometimes you get a faulty part and sometimes the mechanic doesn't find the problem on the first try. This was all a couple years ago. Flash forward to today and I just replaced the EGR valve they sold me. The EGR valve that I didn't need, because it wasn't what had been causing my electrical shutdowns. My original lasted almost 25 years. The new one didn't even make it to 3 years old. That's the straw that breaks the camel's back for me and I can't hold my silence any more. Alternator they replaced? Broken almost immediately. O2 sensors they replaced? Both broken almost immediately. EGR valve they replaced? Broken. Did they listen when I described what was wrong with my truck? No. Was their diagnosis of my battery correct? No. Am I just unlucky? Maybe! But I've had a lot better luck trusting other mechanics.

I cannot elaborate on the many times the men and women have helped me with multiple cars over the years, but it's been a LOT. The prices are equitable, their knowledge of the highest order, and their integrity unmatched. That last is why I keep returning time and again, from regular maintenance to major work.

I had my alternator and battery replaced after a failure. The service was quick and easy to get done and after there were some compatibility issues with the new part, Young Brothers took my car back in fixed the issue and I was good to go in a day.Services: Auto battery replacement
