I had a very positive experience with Probst Family Funeral Services. My mom passed away last month. Daisy was extremely professional, courteous and kind. Her communication skills were impeccable. She walked me through the entire process with kindness and thoroughness. I am glad we chose Probst.

Thanks to the Probst family for taking care of my family during a very difficult time. I love the small town feel of Probst, taking care of all the difficult things that need to be decided. The the staff was so professional and so caring every step of the way. Thanks to Austin and his team.Julie and Christopher Anderson

I cant give them enough stars. The service and compassion Austin and staff showed our family not once for a very unexpected passing but twice with a passing of our grandmother within two weeks of the first tragedy. They were so kind, helpful, understanding, and did everything possible to help and went out of there way to offer assistance as we grieved our loved ones. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH!!!!!

They took great care of my family during a very difficult time. Prices were very reasonable. And they keep checking on us months later. Highly recommended!

Probst and Heber Valley Funeral homes are joint operations. If there were zero or negative stars, that would be my selection. My father passed in February 2022. Heber Valley Funeral Home/Probst Funeral home operates like a third-rate circus. Pick-up, obtaining the death certificate, placing obituaries, coordinating with the cemetery have been fiascos that landed back in my lap. If you want a full service and professionally managed funeral, look else where. Had I known that prepaid funeral services are portable, we would have used a different funeral home. The lack of professionalism is beyond words. The building was formerly run by Olpin and Olpin-Hoopes. Working with those organizations was professional, crisp, organized and helpful. Not so with the new ownership and organization. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere if you don't want to compound your grief with stress from the lack of professionalism.

This place is awful. In all honesty they don't really have competition where they are at. So there effort is lacking. We had to do most of the things by ourselves, even down to cleaning their dirty table cloths that still had dirt and dried leaves from presumably another prior funeral. Anytime we asked for specific requests, not only did we have to ask multiple times because they kept forgetting, they seemed very bothered, and there's where the biggest complaint comes. The men acted like too much of a business. I know it is a business but this is still someones family member who has passed. They showed no remorse or sympathy, they seemed very robotic and cold. We went to dress the loved one the day before, she didn't look anything like herself. We have been to other open casket funerals, we know they can do a lot to make them have more color, be smiling and look like themselves but it seemed like they didn't put much effort into making her look like herself at all, aside from the coloring, they even propped her head in a way that squooshed her chin to her chest and it gave her frown. Also, they didn't have anything ready and when we got there it wasn't like "sorry for your loss" it was more like "do you have the stuff to dress her? Great you have 30 min". Everything just felt very disrespectful, and unsympathetic and it truly upset many of us who had just lost someone so precious.

My father in law passed unexpectedly yesterday . I was informed that Probst Family funerals had my father in law. We made the trip to Heber from South Utah county with hopes that my wife might be able to see her father once last time . We met with funeral director Jeff Biddulph who said he would need time to prepare the body before we could see him . He said to give him an hour and call him . We did. Called him 3 times total . Got forwarded . VERY unprofessional . So I had no choice but to take my wife home without seeing her dad. Even tried calling today . Both office and cell . Still no answer . Do not trust your loved ones with this very unprofessional company . My wife is heartbroken .

The folks at the Heber City location were perfect. You could not ask for a more compassionate and caring team to help you through the difficult process of losing a loved one. They absolutely made my family feel like this was a caring and professional process rather than just a necessary transaction. Hope to never need them again but if so, no hesitation whatsoever. - Bob .

I felt I needed to comment after reading BG’s post. I’m sorry for his/her loss, and understand the grief may have been magnified when translated in such a terrible review. However, in good conscience, I must say I have never dealt with a more caring, professional and sincere organization. We used Probst services this year for my Uncle and last year for my Aunt. There need not BE any competition when the services they provided were so far above the norm in our experience. From the administrative to the hands on preparation of the remains, I have never seen a more caring and professional organization. I hope what BG related was a rare and not-to-be repeated situation. It certainly was 180 degrees from what our family experienced.
