Great doctors! We have been seeing Dr. Loek and Dr. Laporte for years. They take great care of two of my dogs who have struggled with allergies and other health conditions.

The low star is for the genuinely archaic and beyond frustrating method to get prescriptions filled. Especially in this day and age. An absolute joke for any reasonable person.
I appreciate the care my dog got and service, usually
Besides those this glaring poor service to get the most simple task done. Absolutely 0 help. And 'policy' is a poor excuse when all the other vets or places I've taken pets have never had this issue. It scares me to almost feel its incompetence.
Not to mention I tried all day while working 10 hours to try, and someone could've just said no. Instead I'm playing phone tag on my breaks hoping just maybe, it'll be one less thing to stress over.
Instead I get a call at 4:55 with some slogged off response and get to try and hope for a better tomorrow to get my dog their prescription that could've just been faxed.

Dr. Laporte and her assistant were absolutely amazing with my Louis today! He has been struggling with allergies and ear infections so bad! They were very thorough and informative! I highly recommend! We drove from WY and our visit was definitely worth the drive.

**UPDATE** I am going to give them 1 more star because they were nice enough to contact me and try to make it right. I did end up getting 33$ dollars back for the dog food even though I paid 110$ but something is better than nothing. I appreciate the effort.
I give 3 stars because my first appointment was super helpful I spent well over 1500$ to have the best for my dog. I was told the allergy shots would take at least a year for me to notice an improvement or not. After his initial appointment they wanted another one 3 to 4 months later. I spent the 200+$ to bring my dog in and the visit was maybe 5 minutes long i was basically asked if anything has changed and sent on my way and told to come back in 6 months. My dogs allergy vial was empty so i ordered another because they are supposed to last up to 6 months keep in mind i wont notice a difference for about a year. His vial went up 60$ in price. So I spent well over 400$ for his second vial. Fast forward to now My dog has gone in anaphylatic shock in the month of March and has consistent insane allergic reactions for the last 4 yrs in the month of March and April which is why I brought him in to begin with. I have a signed prescription that didn't expire until 4/21 and on 04/18 I noticed they were doing a 20% off sale so I ordered my dog his prescription dog food and apoqual because I couldn't pass up the good deal I got about 48$ off which Is great considering how expensive they are. I only ordered the dog food to get the good deal on the apoqual the more you spend the more you get off. I got told they won't allow me to purchase the apoqual because I didn't do my 6 month follow up( paying the price for the visit defeats the purpose of the discount and my dog isnt finished with his second allergy vial yet). Well the prescription that THEY wrote was still active and I was still eligible for a refill they refused to refill the prescription. I had a nice talk with a nice young lady and advised I only got the dog food to get the deal for the apoqual (I bought dog food two weeks prior for regular price) I told her if I can't get the sale on the apoqual I want them to cancel both the dog food and apoqual because I can still buy the apoqual full price at a grocery store with THEIR prescription. I looked at my card and I was being charged 110$ for the dog food. I messaged the office and told them hey please cancel the dog food. I got a message saying they did this was on a Thursday. Well they are closed all weekend the charge went through and I got an e mail that the food shipped. So I paid for dog food I didn't need then had to pay an arm and a leg for the apoqual my dog needs because they refused to honor the prescription date they wrote. Times are hard, your hours aren't ideal, and its very upsetting I was charged after I stated multiple times I didn't want the dog food if I wasn't getting the apoqual. I think what you guys do for animals is great but please take in-consideration of your customers. I understand protocol but I don't have hundreds and thousands to throw around I'm trying to do the best I can with the inflation and I wish you had more empathy with the owners who are trying to stay afloat.

Caution... they take your money over and over with test after test and no real answer for our baby girl's condition. She's in pain. Shop around....

Hello and my name is Debora Thomas and my husband Josh and I are so impressed with this animal dermatology. Dr Laporte and her staff was absolutely amazing with my George. They took their time with him being so gentle to his needs. I feel so comfortable and safe with George being in the best care for his ear infection. I highly recommend them! Oh and a huge shout out to Abby the vet assistant, she is a saint, so calm and caring to animals! She is a bonus to the clinic!

I do not recommend going here. Called 2 times to get my dog’s allergy medicine refilled, it’s been 3 days since requesting the prescription. Refilled got denied due to not having an appointment, scheduled an appointment which the earliest in January 2024. Was told I was going to get a call back office closes at 5 and closed on Friday . They don’t care about dogs, they sound concerned on the phone but they’ll will leave you and your dog high and dry with no prescription. My dog is bleeding due to her allergies. ??

I came in after my dog started having an allergic reaction and I was referred by several vets to Dermatology for Animals. I am so impressed with everyone in the office. They are kind, informative, and did wonderful with my pup who was very nervous. They used positive reinforcement techniques when handling my dog and seeing his nerves. I feel confident in the treatment for my dog after seeing Dr. Laporte. Thank you!

My cat, Spooky, struggled with skin allergies for about a year before we went to D&A. Multiple vets prescribing steroid, the cone, and antibiotics that did nothing to fix this awful rash on his stomach and his poor fur. We went to D&A and within 3 months we were able to pinpoint his allergies. My grain-free and allergic to human dander boy is fluffy, soft, and no sores. He finally is able to be a cat again and is learning to trust us humans again. Thank you D&A for making it an amazing experience and always keeping my budget in mind.

We were at a loss what to do for Greta, our GSD. Nothing seemed to help or do more than mask the symptoms. Dr. Heather Loek put her on the right meds and she started healing immediately. She’s easy to talk to and takes her time. The techs are great and so helpful
