They helped me figure out my Frenchie's allergies and treat. We are in such a good spot now. Top notch care and well worth the money.

Hello and my name is Debora Thomas and my husband Josh and I are so impressed with this animal dermatology. Dr Laporte and her staff was absolutely amazing with my George. They took their time with him being so gentle to his needs. I feel so comfortable and safe with George being in the best care for his ear infection. I highly recommend them! Oh and a huge shout out to Abby the vet assistant, she is a saint, so calm and caring to animals! She is a bonus to the clinic!

I do not recommend going here. Called 2 times to get my dog’s allergy medicine refilled, it’s been 3 days since requesting the prescription. Refilled got denied due to not having an appointment, scheduled an appointment which the earliest in January 2024. Was told I was going to get a call back office closes at 5 and closed on Friday . They don’t care about dogs, they sound concerned on the phone but they’ll will leave you and your dog high and dry with no prescription. My dog is bleeding due to her allergies. ??

I came in after my dog started having an allergic reaction and I was referred by several vets to Dermatology for Animals. I am so impressed with everyone in the office. They are kind, informative, and did wonderful with my pup who was very nervous. They used positive reinforcement techniques when handling my dog and seeing his nerves. I feel confident in the treatment for my dog after seeing Dr. Laporte. Thank you!

My cat, Spooky, struggled with skin allergies for about a year before we went to D&A. Multiple vets prescribing steroid, the cone, and antibiotics that did nothing to fix this awful rash on his stomach and his poor fur. We went to D&A and within 3 months we were able to pinpoint his allergies. My grain-free and allergic to human dander boy is fluffy, soft, and no sores. He finally is able to be a cat again and is learning to trust us humans again. Thank you D&A for making it an amazing experience and always keeping my budget in mind.

We were at a loss what to do for Greta, our GSD. Nothing seemed to help or do more than mask the symptoms. Dr. Heather Loek put her on the right meds and she started healing immediately. She’s easy to talk to and takes her time. The techs are great and so helpful

I needed to bring in my recently adopted dog in to see if she needed to continue antibiotics. I was really worried about her being reactive to dogs because I haven't had enough time with her to determine what it is that sets her off. Dermatology for animals understood my concerns and made sure we checked in and checked out without having to stress my dog out. I have and will always trust them with my animals! Thank you Dr. Laporte and Abby!

I give 4 stars only because, while they were very friendly, honest, upfront and conscious about what is going on with my Apricot her condition seems to have worsened after starting the diet and taking the medication recommended. Medicine is not an exact, especially when the patient can not communicate. The reason for not doing 5 stars is because I had anticipated doing the allergy testing but was given other possible solutions as the vet felt it may have been other issues. I am going to call today during my lunch to address what is going on.

Dr. Laporte and her staff (Abbey and Melissa) were great! Our dog has been suffering from pododermatitis for 8 months and finally we found a Vet who understands his problem. Dr. Laporte spend time, explained the problem, and set up a treatment plan. As a physician, I can appreciate members of the health profession who are both knowledgeable and caring. My wife Gail and I feel our beloved 9 y/o golden retriever Logan is on a new path to health. I highly recommend Dermatology For AnimalsDr. Reisinger

UPDATE: I received a very helpful and friendly email addressing my review below. Shilo reached out to me after hearing about my review and has done SO MUCH to help me feel confident and comfortable returning to Dermatology for Animals. She called me and we had the exact conversation I needed. I highly recommend this clinic. I was told the individual I spoke to has likely left, so I can also call without having to feel like I need to be ready to defend my wants and desires for my dog :) Thank you so much Shilo!I had a really off putting experience with the woman who answered the phone when I called to get info on allergy testing for my dog. She explained food allergies are not tested, determining food allergies is with an exclusion and novel protein diet. Which I had already done for my dog but he got a high grade MCT on the novel protein food he was on, so I changed his diet. When I explained I won't put him back on that food bc that is when he got the tumor she told me the tumor comes from histamines in the body and those don't come from food. As a nurse, I was totally speechless bc that is not only totally inaccurate, but her response to my concern about the specialty food was so clueless and gaslighting I had to just end the call. I don't think I will be calling this place back as I don't want to get into a discussion about caring for my dog with the person who answers the phone and makes appointments. I want to have such a discussion who knows what they are talking about and hears me out and she did not. :( I gave 3 stars bc I had a really good experience taking my dog there when he had the MCT tumor.

Their business model appears to be less about helping my pet and more about helping themselves - to my wallet. They performed or recommended tests in a manner best described as throwing everything at the wall and hoping something might stick. As disappointed as I am with my primary care vet for failing to diagnose and treat my pet, I am vastly more disappointed with Dermatology for Aninals. They are supposed to be the best in Utah for their specialty; I am out over $900, and they are recommending further testing. It seems like they are just guessing and hoping the next one will be the winner.Stick a fork in me, I am done with Dermatology for Animals.
