Jake @ the Granite Credit Union on 900 East in Millcreek, UT has helped us so much. His ability to explain things is simple & straight forward. Jake truly cares for the clients he works with. Jake has never been condescending, he treats everyone who walks through his door with respect. We are so grateful! <3

I cannot overstate how fantastic my experience has been with these guys. They helped me get a car purchased in under 24 hours. Throughout the process the branch manager Scott was communicative, efficient, and friendly. I also worked with a Caitlin and she was beyond helpful. She was kind and capable. Would refer anyone here and am planning on doing so.

Beware of the $600 monthly fee you get charged for your insurance not sending over the correct information. Even if you are covered correctly. They still charge even after sending correct declaration of insurance coverage showing you’re covered and have been the whole time. My husband passed away unexpectedly and was over the financials of the truck/loan. Trying to sell his truck and they (Shannon) wont budge to remove the $1800 in fees this year. We had no idea that was being charged. I feel it fair to let others aware of the customer service when applying for loans. I don’t recommend using Granite Credit Union

Scott, the branch manager is an absolute stud, we had a bunch of stuff to get done and he basically did everything, very polite and extremely professional as well as straightforward. Never had a single bad interaction with granite and very happy with the experience. Thanks again Scott!

I'm so ready to find a new bank. I've been with Granite for a long time but every time I go to use the app there is an API issue. This happens ALL the time. How can I manage my money when I'm consistently blocked. The UX has gotten so bad I accidentally moved funds from the wrong account, then immediately put it back. Then I was charged consistently for months for taking that cash out even though I paid the fees to avoid the hassle of calling. After losing a good $40 due to an unclear user interface interface I finally called and asked to close the account in question. I had to jump through hoops to do that, no refund, even completed a docusign and yet the account is still there?! #1 take all your rich bank money and pay for a good web/software designer to improve CLEAR communication and navigation on your app. #2 if you overcharge someone, give their money back. #3 STOP blocking the API! Ensure users have access to manage their money 24/7!! #4 Do what you say you will do. Close account as directed! Don't make me call multiple times.

Their systems have been down for over 4 hours, I can't access my account, withdraw money, or even use the money in my account. I don't understand how you can screw with your customers like this. His is why people don't use banks they just screw with you and your money. I need to get my meds but I can't till I get my money out of this stupid bank.

Needs Major Improvement!I wish there was a way to leave a review that genuinely reflects my unfortunate experience with this credit union, but it appears one star is the minimum. My interaction with this institution left much to be desired, especially in terms of customer service.Upon walking into the branch, I was met with an unwelcoming and somewhat cold atmosphere. The representatives seemed preoccupied, and the overall energy of the place was far from warm or inviting. This set the stage for what proved to be an incredibly disappointing experience. When it came to addressing my concerns, the representatives I dealt with were curt and impatient, making me feel as if my queries were an unwelcome interruption to their day. There seemed to be a significant lack of interest in providing satisfactory solutions or clear answers to my questions. Moreover, the rudeness was not confined to one individual or one incident. Throughout my interactions, multiple representatives exhibited an unfortunate disregard for customer service etiquette. This is not something I would expect from an institution that is meant to serve its community and foster positive relationships with its members. From a technical standpoint, I also faced issues. The process of obtaining necessary information and setting up my account was cumbersome and fraught with delays. There was a complete lack of timely communication, leaving me confused and frustrated. In the current age where customer-centric businesses are thriving, this credit union's customer service is a stark anomaly. It's disheartening because credit unions are typically known for their community-centric approach and personalized service.I genuinely hope that this review is taken as constructive feedback, leading to improvements in the future. However, based on my experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this credit union to anyone seeking a friendly, efficient, and customer-focused banking experience.

Granite Credit Union offered a 18 month (bump) promo CD at 4.25% APY. Now that they found enough customers to lock up their hard earned money, no APY increase since then.

granite credit union intentionally refuses to receive payment as well as insurance info to try and add on fees wherever possible. If you deal with these people you need to DEMAND they provide receipts and proof of literally everything provided to them. DO NOT trust them or take them at their word on anything.

I have had a large amount of money in Granite credit union for the past five years. I have been disappointed with their rates the past several years. They have a very large penalty for five year CD early withdraw. 365 days! when my CD's mature this April I will be moving them to more competitive credit unions. In North Utah alone I can find numerous credit unions paying much higher rates even offering Add-on CD's

Granite CU is a joke if I could give it a zero I would. I have a credit card there and every time I go to use it I have to hold my breath as to whether or not it will work. I'd like to cancel, but don't want to take the hit to my FICO. I also have a high limit. However, every other time I use it they shut it off because they suspect fraud. And it's not like I'm using it for obscure purchases, I use it with common retailers like eBay, Amazon, local restaurants etc and it still gets shut off. Then no one calls or texts to inform you it's been shut off until you go to use it again and it gets declined. I've never been late or missed a payment and have perfect credit. Then to re-activate you have to call someone at the branch and often you are on hold for 5-10 minutes. Granite CU is a complete $#it show and I would never recommend them to anyone. Do not use this institution there are way too many other options.

If I could give zero stars I would. Usually have a long wait to talk to a teller. And if you call on the phone plan to wait half an hour of more. Wanted to check their CD rates, but couldn't do that on mobile app so I am waiting 30 minutes plus for a call back. Sad.
