The Front has 3 locations in the Utah area (2 around Salt Lake). This building is absolutely beautiful and has multiple floors of activities. Options for bouldering or top rope climbing (plus multiple auto belays). Really awesome climbing facility with the added bonus of having a cafe with food and coffee on the second floor. There are fitness classes and yoga classes multiple times daily and a free weight gym with machines. Minus one star because in the evenings (especially winter) parking can be absolutely insane -- I sometimes wish they would cap how many members can be visiting at once to improve the overcrowding.

I absolutely love this place, but lately the music has sounded more like gears clattering around than actual music. It’s grating to the point that I can hear it through my headphones. I'd prefer to be able to relax and climb in peace.

I had high hopes for The Front Climbing Club, but my experience was profoundly disappointing. From the overcrowded and poorly managed facility, it was a frustrating visit. The cleanliness was subpar, with dirty bathrooms and climbing mats. The quality of climbs overall is lacking. Given the exorbitant pricing, unless you are engaging with some of their other programs I would recommend another climbing gym.

Discriminatory practices since the owner is a low life.

Brycen taught me and my brother an intro class in bouldering and top roping. I was already a little experienced so he was able to cater perfectly for me and also for my bro who didn’t know as much as I did. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely happy to be teaching us where we were at. He made it exciting and fun. If management reads this, get that man a raise. Also the gym itself is rlly nice if you’re considering going here.

The best way to describe this brand new gym - and the trend climbing gyms are going. "This is the 24hr fitness of the climbing gyms". If you are climber - go somewhere else. If you want everything besides a climbing gym. This is the place for you

Really fun environment, didn't feel judged at all even with very little climbing experience. The facilities are clean and new, there's a ton of space to hang out and relax/study as well as a million climbing options for all levels. The gym looked well stocked and the views were great. The elevator seemed to be broken or just really slow, when trying to get it to come to the 4th floor it never reached, so someone with mobility issues may struggle.

Good facility. Multiple gyms to choose from in the Front "network". Communication could be improved.

Edited to 2 stars. They don't turn the air conditioning up high enough during the summer. I went yesterday and it was 87° and humid inside. Might as well climb outside if it's that hot.

Have been climbing at the front for a couple years now. Just getting more and more disappointed and don't find the value in what I am paying for. Not only did they increase prices, they did not notify their clients of the increase. They have increased their prices but decreased in their service. The bathrooms are gross and the route setting doesn't change for weeks so it gets boring when you feel like you're climbing the same routes for over a month at both South Main and Downtown. Just a bummer it is not how it used to be and they are charging so much more.

They removed the auto belays. Sauna is always broken. Dues just went up…

I was the member here for several years. Last several months only used 1-3 per month for yoga class. Since they removed the auto climb. When I tried to cancel my membership, the staff charged my no cancel yoga class fee. I feel pretty disgusting for this. 1. Your system has no bottom to cancel class. 2. There are lot of people joined class without reservation. 3. Your action like try best to grab any penny when I am leaving
