Hours: Underdog Animal Rescue and Rehab is a dedicated organization serving Native American reservations in the Four Corners region, including the Navajo Nation. Located in Moab, Utah, with a team in Grand Junction, Colorado, the rescue works tirelessly to reduce the large number of stray animals—estimated at around 500,000—through a range of services. These include vet care, spay/neuter clinics, vaccination clinics, transportation, and adoption events. The reviews highlight the passion and dedication of the staff and volunteers, describing them as caring, knowledgeable, and invested in the animals’ well-being. Many reviewers share positive adoption experiences, noting that the dogs are well cared for, resilient, and quick learners. The staff take time to match dogs with families, considering their home environment, and go above and beyond to ensure a good fit. One reviewer mentioned the emotional impact of seeing a dog experience grass and a home for the first time, emphasizing how rewarding the work is despite the challenges. Overall, Underdog Rescue is appreciated for its inspiring efforts, compassionate care, and commitment to saving and rehabilitating dogs in need, making it a trusted place for adoption and rescue in the region.
