THE MICROWAVE IS THE HARDEST WORKING TGING IN THE KITCHEN .... isn't that right Reno?Head chef is a joke , no creditintials , nothing ! I checkedKitchen isn't cleaned properlyBasically saying you have the best food in the area is sad , when you have no competitors. And the owner? Kevin?Maybe he shouldn't make passive threats against employees ?Especially when he's allowing not very savory Characters work there .... right Reno?

Had dinner here recently. Think the staff is doing their best but the restaurant is poorly managed. Service was slow and chaotic, food was very late and cold. Management does not seem to understand all this is required to run a restaurant with the prices they are charging. Maybe they can get there act together eventually.

Small Mom/Pop restaurant, farm to table. Food was very good. We ended up there for dinner and brunch during our stay in the area.

Very short staffed, waitress was working as hostess, bus person and chef. Was very kind but did not make up for the hour and a half wait and not getting any food. Very disappointing.

The menu had 5 items for entrees and they were out of 2 of them. The only three left was a bison burger with fry’s for $28, pasta and steak diner with whip potatoes and vegetables for $49. We ordered the steak and got a small 4 oz steak 5 small roasted potatoes and 6 green beans with three small pieces of zucchini. To top it off all the food was cold. We’re talking cold to the touch. I have never seen more over priced food in my life.

I absolutely LOVED it here. Everything about it. The service, atmosphere, food, and drinks. Highly recommend to fellow travelers and locals alike. I love supporting local eateries that use local ingredients and have menu changes with the seasons.

What an absolute GEM outside the East Zion entrance/exit.Our guide app told us it was the last good food stop before heading towards Kanab, and I can confirm it was nothing but exceptional!!!The location, on 9,000 acres of land. The food, is the most delicious & truly fresh meal I enjoyed on my entire trip! The ever changing menu might be a “turn off” for some, but knowing the available choices are based on availability and what is fresh made it that much more appealing to us!We were lucky to try the bone in pork chop & the pot roast! I mean, the best pot roast I’ve ever tried in my entire life. (Sorry mom, this was better!)Must stop. Enjoy the gorgeous grounds. Stop by to say hello to the bison as well as Emerald & Rex (the livestock guardian dogs) and all the chickens roaming.Such an amazing experience.

We stayed at the ranch over the weekend and had a chance to enjoy breakfast at Cordwood! The restaurant itself is so cozy, and the customer service couldn't have been nicer! The food was delicious (big shout out to Ryan)! We both had scrambled and they came with these roasted potatoes that were out of this world. Would highly recommend stopping in if you're nearby or staying at the ranch! :)

I stopped here for breakfast today, and I love this Bison Preserve, run by some amazing women. I met Ashley and Jack at breakfast when he stole my heart. He dragged firewood inside and found an egg while we ate. We signed up for the Zion Mountain Ranch Sunset Horesback ride. Our Buffalo Wrangler/ Trail guide Maggie was the absolute best! We are planning our next trip to Zion National Park next year, and I know where we will be staying. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I have to come back for the Bison Ribeye. They sold out a d I had to settle for a New York Strip Steak!!

We ate at Cordwood for 2 dinners and 1 breakfast. The location is obviously very convenient if you're staying at Zion Mountain Ranch and too whooped after a long day of hiking to go back out and find a restaurant. The atmosphere is really cozy; we loved watching the chickens and other critters out the windows. Our first dinner was fantastic - the food and wine were both very good. Our second dinner was so-so, and even though we'd arrived very early they were already out of one of the dessert options. In both cases, I think the prices were a little steep though not unexpected based on this being the equivalent of a hotel restaurant - between $100-110 pre-tip for 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine, and 1-2 desserts. For dinner, they were lacking in vegetarian-friendly options, and I admit it rubs me the wrong way when the vegetarian version of a bison burger is priced identically to its counterpart. They advertise that their menu is "always changing based on the harvest" which I like, though I do wish there was some posting online to let you know options before arriving. The breakfast buffet was $22 a person which I think was high, though the food itself was good and you can't beat sipping coffee while watching bison out the window. Overall we were pleased with our experience and would eat here again if we stayed at Zion Mountain Ranch in the future despite some of the drawbacks noted above.Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options at the time we went - you can substitute beyond meat for the bison burger, there was a fish dish if you're a pescatarian, we were told we could omit meat from one of the pasta dishes (though I'm hard-pressed to imagine how based on the description of the dish), and otherwise the options were salad (but not the Caesar unless you're pescatarian). Because the menu is not fixed, I recommend asking to review the current menu and inquiring specifically about substitution options before being seated.
