We took my daughter to this Build-A-Bear last night to celebrate her birthday. The store was clean and organized. My daughter enjoyed her experience, however I do have some feedback. I remember going to BAB in the past and the staff used to make the kids feel really special, particularly when stuffing the bear and adding the heart. The girl who was at the stuffing machine had no energy, barely interacted with my daughter, and all of the special elements they used to add (like making a wish or kissing the heart before putting it inside) are gone. Still a fun experience but the magic and heart of the business seems to be gone.

They are the best. The battery went bad in my daughters bear. He recently passed away. The staff was so understanding, they re-recorded the original message to a new one and replaced the old one. His legacy lives on!!!!
Can't thank them enough. You are awesome!!!!

I couldn’t have had a better Experience at build a bear💜💜
I’m so grateful to Sandy for her personal touch and everything she did to make sure my mom’s voice could be recorded perfectly for my stuffed moose. And then having my friends hold a heart with wishes to be added?? Above and beyond. So grateful to you Sandy- to all of you💜💜

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!
I had such a heartbreaking experience at the Build-A-Bear in Fashion Place Mall. I took my 2 year old daughter to make the first bear she picked out herself, something special to cheer her up after a hard time we’ve been going through. When I kindly asked an employee for help, she ignored me several times, then suddenly turned around yelling that she couldn’t help me because she had to finish something. I calmly told her she could just say that kindly, because I would’ve been happy to wait. Instead, she started yelling and crying that she was tired, that people in the store were yelling at her, and that she was about to quit, all right next to us. My daughter stood there frozen, staring in fear while this woman had a complete breakdown in front of us. It was honestly horrible to witness.
The rest of the visit didn’t get any better. Another employee spoke to me with a condescending tone when I asked for help (after their computer crashing and NO ONE being able to re open the system again), and later, while my daughter was finally smiling as we stuffed her bear, that same woman walked up again and loudly questioned if I had cut in line. She stopped everything and asked the family next to us if they were in front of me, making me prove that I wasn’t skipping the line. It was humiliating, unnecessary, and made the entire moment so uncomfortable after everything we’d already gone through.
I understand everyone has bad days, but kindness costs nothing. It broke my heart to see a day that was supposed to be joyful turn into something so upsetting.

They fixed Jordon just like they said they would. The doctor was a professional and made our kids feel at ease while ripping and sewing on their buddies voice box back in. The next day we hey had a one year birthday party for both Petee and Jordan.

For a store that has a lot of interaction with it customers, I would say that this store lacks customer service. I had asked an employee by the name of Annalee a question she was quite rude and acting like I was inconveniencing her. Then she I ask the cashier if there was a manager available, she stated that she just walked out. Funny coincidence the manger on duty was Annalee, at which point I asked for the store managers name she refused to give to. Very poor customer service. If you don’t mind being treated like crap and overpaying for a stuffed animal or a place to go

I've been hearing about the benefits of weighted stuffies but wanted something cuter than what was available on the market, so I decided to go a DIY-ish route and turn a Toothless Build-a-Bear into a weighted stuffie. Even though I threw several wrenches in their usual process (the adult in the kid toy store having them first only stuff the head, going off to the side and borrowing one of the dressing tables for a hot minute to add poly pellets one funnel load at a time, and then coming back and handing them a five pound dragon to get more stuffing and to get it sealed up), the employee helping me went off-script and rolled with it without missing a beat. From what I saw while I was there, the employees did a great job at creating a magical experience for the kids who came through. I got there thirty minutes after opening on a Saturday morning (not a holiday weekend). The first time I was in line for stuffing, the wait was only a few minutes. When I went back for more stuffing, there wasn't a wait at all.

Brought our 4 year old niece for her fourth birthday, this was her first visit. We were ignored by the staff for 10 minutes when we entered. When they finally noticed us asking for help, they simply pointed us where to go. We picked out the stuffy she wanted then went to the fluff station. Rather than give the usual talk about how important the fluff and heart were, and testing the bear with a hug, the Manager(!) thought it more important to complain about her workload and show us all of the flyers that were apparently really difficult to print. We've been to other Build-a-Bear stores, it was always fun and exciting. This trip was really disappointing.

We visited the Fashion Place Mall Build-A-Bear yesterday to celebrate birthdays and create a special memory for my niece. The experience overall was fun, but we were really disappointed that the male employee helping us skipped the part where the child makes a wish on the heart before placing it inside the bear.
We saw other kids getting to do this sweet ritual, but our niece didn’t—and later in the car, she asked why she didn’t get to make a wish. She even wondered if it was because she wasn’t special. We did our best to reassure her, but the moment had passed.
I understand that everyone has tough days, but if a staff member isn’t going to provide the same magical experience others are receiving, it may be better for them to stay off the front floor. These moments really matter to kids.

Stopped by yesterday to pick up a father's day gift, and the team was amazing! We did an online order and picked it up, and realized it didn't have a carboard house to go in which would make the gift even better, the woman at the checkout area let us have one and on our way out we realized we had forgot the birth certificate, they let us come back and make one for free to go along with his gift! Me and my fiancé were so impressed we decided to come back to this particular location for a date night, and make ourselves a little build a bear pal! If you are looking for a gift idea or a fun outing as a family this place is it!
