I was in this store today with my daughter and her fiance looking for outfits for their engagement pictures. The woman working there (an older woman maybe in her 50’s or 60’s) was very friendly and greeted us and said let me know if you need to try something something on! Then she said well just you (to my daughter) and then said no offense (to her fiancé) completely out of no where. Then she said “we actually get men in here that want to try women’s clothing on, and I’m sorry but I just can’t go there, it’s just too much for me.” She continued to ramble about said topic as we promptly made our way out of the store. The complete lack of awareness that this is absolutely so unbelievably discriminatory and offensive was unbelievable to me and I will never ever step one foot in one of these stores again for the rest of my life. Leave your personal beliefs at home if you choose to work in a public setting like this, and this retailer needs to pay attention and do better at screening and monitoring their hires. It makes me so incredibly sad that there are individuals looking for a way to express themselves through what they feel comfortable wearing that are met with such discrimination and shame and I genuinely hope that this review helps someone to avoid being made to feel this way and is also listened to by the ownership so that they can take a closer look at the employees that are representing their brand. Please do better.
