Absolutely incredible! I took in an old GE 200 portable record player thinking there was either a short or something wrong with the motor. Turned out it just needed the arm and stylus adjusted so it would stop auto rejecting. I cannot thank Randy enough! He started it up and went to work right away. In a matter of minutes he had it working perfectly, made sure the turntable was turning at the correct speed and the stylus was sitting in the correct position. And he did it for FREE. Randy has an incredible depth of knowledge and the customer service experience was the best I've had in decades. It looked like they could fix a wide range of electronics in there, so if you've been putting off repairing an old system (esp. turntables) then now is the time to take care of it. The customer service alone will blow you away.

Randy is a legend.Very honest and knowledgeable. He helped me get my record player working smoothly again and to use a cartridge that is more widely used (so styluses will be easier to find).Full 5 stars for Interwest.

Had a great conversation/demonstration about turntables with Randy at Interwest. He was generous and knowledgeable. As an audiophile and hardware-o-phile I'll rest easier knowing that a place like this exists in the Salt Lake area.

I went in for a new stylus since buying them online proved to be difficult. The ended up rebuilding the player’s internal shock absorption bushings, fixing the queuing up/down function and replacing the dust cover in addition to upgrading the stylus. I’m very impressed with the quality of work and their knowledge of various parts, and the fact they just seemed to care. I will go back here for any future needs with electronics. Thanks.

I brought in an old record player that I thought needed repair. Turns out it just wasn’t setup properly. I knew nothing about record players.. They were so kind and helpful to teach me how to actually use it properly. Took the time to go through it to make sure it was working properly. And on top of all that, got me a copy of the original instruction manual. Great people!

Highly recommend this shop if you have any issues with vintage turntables and other analog gear. I brought in my 1980s Yamaha turntable because it was having speed issues and Randy diagnosed the problem and then proceeded to give the player a much-needed tune up. He was patient and methodical, drawing on decades of knowledge about turntables for little fixes that made my trusty Yamaha sound like new. Just a wonderful experience from beginning to end.

I had a wonderful experience having Randy and Benson go through my “baby Marantz” model 2015 receiver. Recently one of the channels started going in and out, and some of the display lamps had failed and it was looking a little dim. I took it in to see what could be done and get it taken care of, anticipating that I’d be putting some $$ into it as it’s a 50 year old unit that - though well-cared for - had probably never been properly serviced. 20+ new capacitors and all new lamps, plus a full cleaning and going through to check every detail later - this thing looks and sounds brand new! Even the back panel looks pristine. Randy also provided me with a bound copy of the owners/service manual, and offered all sorts of knowledge and advice on various accessories, speakers, etc to help me make decisions about my stereo setup. All in all, a fantastic and educational experience.If you have any high-end vintage audio gear that needs repair, this is the place to take it. It’s nice to know there is a shop like Interwest Electronics in Utah. This type of service is hard to find these days, but I value the wisdom and what these guys are doing. It’s awesome to keep high quality electronics alive and running for many years to come. I am enjoying my Marantz again. Thank you!

Took my 40+ year old Sony turntable into Interwest for repair. They repaired the turntable sooner than quoted and within the estimated cost. Randy was a pleasure to work with and took the time to explain what repairs they made and walked me through the adjustments for the tone arm. Turntable sounds awesome. It's great to know there is still a reliable repair shop available.

We got our record player from here and they repaired it and made it perfect for us! My sister inlaw helped facilitate it for her brother (my husband) as a Christmas gift and it was nothing but perfect! She said that Randy was amazing and went above and beyond in helping this be the perfect gift! It sounds gorgeous and looks so good!
