The tables are a little close to one another for my liking. The food and service was top notch despite the closeness to our neighbors

We visited with a group of nine, and the service was great. The waiters were super friendly and quick to bring our food. They made sure to check on us often. The portions were generous, though the prices were on the higher side. The food was really tasty, and the whole vibe made us feel like we were in a cute anime restaurant

Super friendly staff. Best ramen in town, worth the price. Highly recommend the jinya buns as a side item.

Fantastic ramen and excellent service. Dining room is a little small and as such, crowded and noisy at times.I don't see this as necessarily a negative thing, just be aware.

Reasonably good ramen at a high but not absurd price. It definitely feels like a chain. Honestly I would've rathered ordering at the counter and nix the table service as it just added unnecessary expense.

This is a continuing thread from the SLC location. from that experience we decided to call Murray and ask if our son could have a happy meal. the host quickly replied that would be fine. I called the SLC location back to advise that Murray seems like a much for allergy friendly location. Upon entering we were noticed as those whom called earlier and were given a lecture about how the host was wrong and that they do not allow outside food. We could tell the SLC location called. We promptly left. How do we find it acceptable in a day and age with small children to tolerate restaurants who will not be accommodating to their medical needs and are very abhorrent to the parents attempt at alternatives to continue to enjoy their experience together but would much rather bark draconian policy. shame on Jinya.Dietary restrictions: They don’t care what allergies you may have…Kid-friendliness: Apparently aren’t fans of kids with allergies because no outside food policy reigns supreme at Jinya so your kid sits hungry or you dine elsewhere.

Updated review:We love the food here. They've expanded their menu and now have several vegan options, which is fantastic since my daughter is vegan and it's not easy finding restaurants we all like.I tried her vegan ramen with impossible meat last time we ate here, and it was amazing, with a true savory flavor. My son loves the spicy chicken ramen with a seasoned egg. I love the mini tuna tacos. The place is still cramped and very loud. They turn the music up, I think so you can't hear others' conversations, but it just means you can't hear your own conversation either. I'm not a fan of running elbows with strangers, but it's a small space so there's not much they can do.Original review:I'd have given this place 5 stars a year ago, because their ramen is fantastic, and they have a varied menu. But they're still closed for indoor dining! Their space is small, and the tables are crowded together, so it's probably not financially profitable to offer dine-in with social distancing. And yet every other restaurant has opened back up. We have safety protocols in place; people are getting vaccinated. There is no reason this place needs to remain closed. It's bad customer service. We got takeout ramen from them once during the pandemic, and the broth was cold by the time we got home. It also took forever to pick up because they're not well organized. If they don't open soon, I'm giving up on the place.

I was here to pick-up a single item order for doordash and I had to wait for about 5 minutes... Other than that it was a great place.

I have been a frequenter of Jinya over the years and I just realized I've never taken a moment to give them a raving review! Ramen has always been one of my favorite foods and I guarantee that if you're looking for the perfect bowl of ramen to warm your soul on a cold day, this is the place! While a bowl of ramen can be incredibly filling on its own, one thing I would suggest is to not shy away from trying their small plates/appetizers. I have tried a handful of items from this section of their menu and have not yet been disappointed once. They also offer specials on occasion that are always worth a try. I once enjoyed a special that was essentially a softshell crab in a steam bun/taco and I dream about it to this day.For this trip, we opted to start with the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna and I would highly recommend this dish to start. Where texture and flavor are concerned, these bites are an amuse-bouche! The consistency of the tuna in contrast with the crispy rice makes for the perfect bite (if you're more on the audacious side, I would call this a "one biter," but it can be a mouthful). As for our entrees, I don't think I've strayed from ordering the Spicy Creamy Vegan ramen (add mushrooms) every time. Call me a creature of habit, but I don't dare stray from this dish that truly brings me joy. Although this is a vegan dish and I am not vegan, I have always loved this menu option because it is so filling and hearty! I'm always completely satiated after a meal at Jinya. If I can make one suggestion that might improve your own experience when trying this dish, opt for less raw white onion or remove it entirely. While I do enjoy raw onion, it seems a little out of place sometimes and in this dish, I don't feel as though it adds much other than a crisp bite on occasion. Also a creature of habit, my husband orders the Tonkotsu Black whenever we visit and has enjoyed it every time. He would highly suggest it for anyone who likes the pork based broth and thinner noodle variety. What I will leave you with is that the food is absolutely delicious and I think it's a testament to the truth of that by the fact that this location is constantly packed. If I can impress upon you ONE thing, it is to not underestimate how quickly it can get busy on a weeknight. Even on most weeknights, we have had to wait anywhere from a couple minutes to an hour, BUT just know that it will be ABSOLUTELY worth the wait!!
