I have owned my Madsen for 8 years. Over the years we have built so many memories riding the bike around town with my twins when they were young (now 12), my youngest since she was an infant and even our pet duck loved to ride.We recently purchased the electric assist and I decided to do the install myself. I ran into a minor snag due to my bike being older and Mr.Madsen was on the phone calling me to help me out. I finished my install and ran into one more issue (my fault) but Jared was right there once again texting me photos and waking me through. It’s been such a pleasure to be part of the Madsen community over the years and engaging with the Madsen family via social media. If you’re on the fence, get the bike! You can’t put a price on the memories you’ll make.

I can’t recommend getting a Madsen enough! Besides the fact that you can’t NOT smile while riding one, the folks at Madsen have been nothing but helpful from the phone call the morning after we ordered our bike to check in and ask us questions and set up delivery. You will make some great memories with your family if you get one. Do it!

I absolutely love my Madsen bike. I’ve had it for nearly 5 years and in that time it has been a trooper! I’ve gone on many adventures from picnics to playgrounds; from date nights to concerts & the Madsen has made logistics easy. With both the cargo bucket in back, 2 upright cup holders & my new front wooden crate for added storage, I could host a whole party off this thing! My kids favorite feature was the rain canopy in back so he could stay dry on a rainy day while we cruised around the neighborhood. In 5 years I’ve never had any issues with my e-assist technology- it’s elegantly designed and easy to charge; not to mention it’s an absolute game changer in terms of hauling lots of gear up the steep foothills of my hometown.Plus they have the best customer service in the world!!! What cool people to invent such a cool bike.

I cannot say enough good things about these bikes and the company! We have had our Madsen for a little over a month now and cannot get enough of it! As a tired mom of two kids who still loves to get out riding it gives me the freedom to do what I love, have space for my kids (our old bike trailer was way too cramped for my 3 and 5 year old!) and the electric assist is perfect for those moments I need a little extra boost. We eyed these for years before pulling the plug and all I can say is I wish we had done so earlier. It is a wonderful freedom and I truly love it! And the interactions with Lisa, Jared and CC have been nothing but amazing! A great product backed by incredible people.

This bike is seriously the best thing we’ve ever bought!!! We will use it for preschool drop off starting this fall so I don’t have to wait in traffic line. I highly suggest the throttle option add on. I was a little nervous since I’m 5’2” that it would be too difficult to handle, but it isn’t. CC suggested they cut down the seat post a little, (when I expressed my concerns to her about how short I am). I practiced a few times without our son (who is almost 40lbs) so I could get the hang of it. Our son loves it so much and doesn’t want to get out when I tell him we need to go home. He keeps talking about decorating it for Halloween! If you’re on the fence, get one!!! The days are long but the years are short!!!P.S. highly recommend adding a custom bucket color! We did a white bike with a navy bucket and I’m obsessed!!!!

Love coming to visit the shop. They are so friendly and helpful. This bike is amazing and I keep putting off writing a review for it because it would take too long to talk about all the things I love about it. Can carry 4 kids and them some with the front rack. E assist makes hills and long hauls much more enjoyable. I would use my own front lights and rear lights for more brightness but other than that anytime I needed trouble shooting or help they were very responsive.

Absolutely love this bike! Perfect cargo bike for transporting kiddos and it rides surprisingly well considering how much it can carry. My three year old son loves time with me on the bucket bike on various adventures like the beach, parks, playgrounds etc.

I have wanted a Madsen bike for several years, but didn’t think I’d get one! My husband surprised me with one a couple months ago-and it will forever and always be my favorite gift I’ve received! I have to kids who I love taking on bike rides! We love running errands in it and I love taking my kids to things in it. I found myself using it more than my car! It’s so fun to hear my kids giggling in the back while we jam out to music on a little speaker I bring with us! Oh it’s sooo fun!! Thanks madsen!

Y’all. This crate is so well thought out and well made. I actually bought it for the front rack of my Dutch bike (I covet a Madsen but my littles are now bigs!). The attachment system is easy, secure, and truly ingenious. The metal reinforcement on the corners also means that when my bike tumbled sideways the crate didn’t so much as crack. It is also beautiful and classic looking. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a bike crate, front or back. I’ve truly never seen a better one.

I’ve known I wanted a Madsen bicycle since before I had a reason to own a bucket bike. Once they added an electric option and I had kids I could put in the bucket the decision was easy. I pulled the trigger on a fully loaded navy Madsen and have never looked back. The miles keep piling on and I’m just as impressed as I was the first day I took it for a spin. My 3 year old absolutely loves riding in the bucket and my 1 year old can’t wait until he’s big enough. Every detail of this bike is so thought out from the leather details, impeccable paint job and handmade crate to the way it performs. I’ll also add that my husband has another brand of e-bike and my Madsen is faster and takes on hills better all while having a longer lasting battery. Thank you, Madsen, for creating a beautiful and functional bike that we’ll make many memories on.

Being a family of 5 with kids in different stages of life and biking ability one parents was always staying behind with the kids that couldn’t ride while the other parent went ahead with the strong riders. Our new bucket bike has changed the way we explore. Memory maker is what I like to call my madsen bike. It rides amazing and had brought our family so much joy! It’s build so strong and sturdy. I feel so safe riding the bike with my most prized possessions and hearing the giggles from the bucket is the icing on the cake. Thank you Madsen crew for the great communication and customer service!

I am completely obsessed with our Madsen bike. My kids love it also. They are 4yo, 2yo, and while my 5 month old hasn’t been in it yet, he will soon as soon as he is old enough to sit in a child’s bike seat that I’ll install in the bucket. I’ve taken four kids ages 2yo through 7yo in the bucket at once. So much fun to be able to chat with them while they’re in the bucket, because it’s so close to you while you’re riding! I’ve also ridden the bike with adults in the bucket!I tell everyone they need a Madsen bike in their lives! It’s perfect for groceries, errands, toting kids—everything. My dream is for my kids to grow up in a world with more bikes on the road.I test rode a lot of electric cargo bikes (Radwagon, Bunch Bike, Tern GSD, Yuba Mundo, and Eunorau) before purchasing this Madsen bike. I researched for about a year. Finally, after I discovered Madsen and test rode one of their bucket bikes, I knew immediately it was the one for me and my family. Feeling stable was extremely important, and I felt the most stable on the Madsen. Safety of course was also a big concern. I liked that the Madsen bike would contain my kids in the event of a tip. Truly as soon as I test rode the Madsen, I knew it was my favorite!I’m so glad I went with the fully loaded. The canopy keeps my kids protected from wind or rain. The lights are easy to turn on and off and make for a safer ride, the front rack is great for extra storage, and the electric assist is a game changer. I highly recommend ordering the throttle as well. You can ask for it to be added to your order after you place it on their website. The throttle makes starting and stopping a breeze when the bucket is full of kids.Their customer service is incredible. It’s family-owned and operated business. They reach out to each customer individually to make sure you’re satisfied. Super nice people! You can contact them if you want to test ride a bike in your area and they’ll try to connect you with a Madsen-owner nearby.I’ve ridden it on mulch, gravel, and pavement. It handles very well! There’s a Facebook group you can join to talk with other Madsen bike owners. When you buy a Madsen bike, you join an awesome community of a Madsen bike owners :)

I got my Madsen Cycle in February of this year, and it has proved to be an AMAZING purchase for my family. I have two children (3.5 and 2) and they love the bike so much. I regularly take them to daycare in the bike now that we are on summer, which is so fun. I do not have the e-assist and I’ve still managed rides longer than 10 miles with 2 kids in the bucket thanks to the wonderful gears. :) Such a wonderful community to be apart of! I can’t recommend this bike more!

One word...obsessed!! We are so happy with our bike we've ridden it every day, if not twice a day since we got it. Every detail is perfect and well thought out. We live in SLC so were able to do local pick instead of paying for shipping. My only critique is not for the bike but the store. Some more clear signs or a bigger logo to easily identify the place would've been nice. It was a bit tricky to find, even with Google maps.
