I had to return a pair of the new Meta glasses that I had purchased because the sound quality when connecting to my cell phone was really bad. I had purchased them in cash and went to the store to return them however they couldn’t process the return because they didn’t have enough cash on hand. They told me to come back another time however they only ever have $500 cash on hand and the refund was for $518. They had no plan in place for if someone brought that something that cost more than they had in there till. I called the Park city store where I had originally purchased them, but they also did not have enough money to do the refund and suggested that I just kept coming in until somebody paid enough cash that they had enough on hand to process the refund (which is a ridiculous suggestion). They said they couldn’t process it back to a credit card since the original purchase was done in cash. Finally, the Park City store called the Murray store and walked them through how to do a company check that had to be sent to me. They told me it would arrive in 5 to 7 days. It did not and so I called multiple times to try to check on where the payment was. The first individual I got on the phone at the Murray was not very helpful and quite rude and essentially said that he didn’t process it so there’s nothing that he could do to help me or track where the check was. I left my number for the individual that helped me to call me back the next day which they did not so I called in and got the individual that originally helped me. He told me that he would have his general manager and manager call me the next day since they were going to be in the store which they never did. Finally after 10 days the check arrived.
Probably the single worst experience I’ve ever had trying to return something. They had no plan, knowledge, or process in place to return something in cash if they didn’t have enough in the till to do so. And even more than that, they didn’t have enough money on hand ever to be able to return anything over $500. I have been an Oakley person for years, but based on this experience, I am going to move to another glasses brand. If it was a store that just sold Oakley‘s, it would be different. However, this was multiple Oakley‘s store and the process that they had in place for returns was absolutely terrible. It shouldn’t be put on the customer to try to figure out how to get or process a refund and they provided no answers until my frustration led them to processing a company check. I had to call, question and visit various stores just to get the company check sent to me and even that took longer than they had originally told me it would. All in all extremely dissatisfied with the store as well as the process, the company has in place for returns and customer care.

I wanted to purchase a pair of sunglasses for cycling. I wear contact lenses and need as much protection from the wind as possible for my eyes.
Two male employees helped me. One even took me outside to test the difference between regular and polarized sunglasses.
I also ending up buying a pair of the Meta AI sunglasses. They fit well and will be great for walks or bike rides so I can listen through the side earpiece speakers. I will also use the info, photo and video options.

This was my first time buying from your store and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. I drove two hours just to visit this location because I was genuinely excited to shop there. I'm training for my first marathon and wanted to buy a pair of your sunglasses. Sadly, the visit was incredibly disappointing. The two young employees working that day were unprofessional and made me feel very unwelcome. I was the only customer in the store, yet it took them a while to even acknowledge me. When I asked for help, they acted annoyed and uninterested, and one of them even suggested I just order online.
What made things worse is that one of the employees actually took my personal phone out of my hand and started searching the Oakley website from my device. As someone who’s a germaphobe, that was absolutely disgusting, not to mention incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. I had to drive two hours back home feeling disappointed and replaying how uncomfortable and unpleasant those interactions were. I won’t be returning to that location.

I like this store a lot. They always go above and beyond for me. They always ask if they can clean my sunglasses for me. Their supply is always a little small. I won’t shop at the Oakley Vault stores they don’t have the same products and their customer service is crap. Thank you for making people feel welcome into your retail store!!!!
