I will never go back here and waste my money again. I cannot believe what a rip off this place is. I just picked up my new glasses last weekend and when I wear them at night there is a reflective glare that repeats across the entire lens. I called them and told them they wanted to recheck my eyes they told the glare is from working on a computer all day. Funny enough with this new prescription I ordered two other pairs of glasses online for maybe an 8th of the price and they do not have a glare neither do the pair that I had previously to the new pair so very clearly there is an issue with these lenses 4 other pairs of glasses I wear don't have the glare. This is also the second time with this company that I have had major issues with the glasses the last time the prescription was way off and I could never adjust to it, for 3 years I never got used to it but their advice was well just give your eyes time to adjust. 3 years later ... still an issue. Each pair after insurance has cost me close to $300. Go literally anywhere else you are more likely to get correct prescription, correct lenses, at a quarter of the price.

I was unable to go with my wife to her appointment. Employee Arlo kept in touch with me for a couple of days to update and complete new insurance benefits. She could have just billed us the full amount yet worked with us.She even let me know that my wife was currently at her appointment. My wife is disabled. Her follow up and prompt replies or more than I could ever expect!

Went in to get an eye exam for contacts. Their doctor recommended a brand that I was unfamiliar with but I took his advice and tried them. They were uncomfortable and dried out quickly so I asked for a different brand when I was ready to order my contacts. They informed me that to change brands(not perscription) they said I would have to pay for a second eye exam. I spoke with the manager Deborah and she refused to provide any help or adjustment and then gaslighted me by saying “it’s the same as going to a doctor when they charge you every time you go in”. Just zero empathy. I couldn’t believe it since I was using a trial pair of contacts from them and now I have to pay almost $200 extra when they could easily switch the brand. I would highly recommend to pick a different provider.Update-Here it is people. If you call this business out for shady practices, they will say it’s your fault and try to shame you by blasting your patient information online. So I have a few responses to the “owner”.1. I never complained about my eyes being dry until I went to order my first box of contacts from your company and simply asked if I could order a different brand instead because the trial had made my eyes dry. So if you do “research” and “know what exactly happened”, it’s strange that you left that out.2. That’s great that, now that you were called out, you are willing to do the right thing but that’s not what your manager Deborah communicated so you may want to have a discussion with her. Especially after seeing all the negative reviews that call her out by name.3. I don’t recall you on the phone with Deborah and myself so I’m impressed that you know that she didn’t gaslight me. Sounds like you’re jumping to conclusions. Why would I waste my time doing a review if there was a reasonable fix for my situation?4. No. After seeing how you treat customers I will happily take my business elsewhere.

Arlo, at the Pearle Vision on Winchester St, was outstanding in helping me get a new pair of glasses. She was knowledgeable of the products, patient while I made selections and understanding when I changed my selections.

At first glance and impressions this was a first choice for many I am sure including my self. Arlo was very helpful at the front desk upon first visiting this optometrist. As was Brenda the manager.I received awesome care on the clinical side as well as the sales side from the front desk. The issue arose after spending over 1100 dollars on a pair of Gucci frames. Then being sold on all the bells and whistles, anti glare, scratch resisting lenses, plus transitions, and including the Pearle Eyewear Protection Plan (PEPP). Which was heavily sold to me because of the cost of the frames and lenses them selves. Jump forward less than a month and half. I have a Burmese puppy that got ahold of my glasses. Scratching the lenses a bending the left arm of the frames. Upon bringing them in to Pearle. I was greeted once again by Arlo. Who recognized me from about a month or so ago. Since she was the one that had helped me out with the initial sale and and sold me on their warranty program or (PEPP). As we sat down to look up my account she realized she had forgot to charge me for the (PEPP) coverage, at the day of sale. Simple mistake since we had sat and talked about work, and how her mother used to work at the same company I work for. Brenda hearing us comes over to the desk that Arlo is helping me at and asks very sternly. "What's the problem?" Arlo full heartedly admits that she remembers me coming in. She also states she remembers me asking for all the bells and whistles to her manager Brenda. Brenda responds with "well now we are out the 800 dollars for the frames" she then looks at me and says "Do you have a receipt ?" Arlo trying to tell her that its her mistake for forgetting to add the insurance on to the initial purchase. Brenda responds with "well once you walk out the door they are sold theirs nothing we can do." I explain the situation mentioned above to Brenda and she responds with. "If you had paid our tills would have been over at the end of that day and we would have caught it" completely ignoring the fact that her employee had explained the situation and admitted fault. Instead of trying to rectify the problem. She then turns to me again. After I sat and observed her exchange with her employee. "Well you didn't pay for it the best we can do is give you a discount on a new pair of frames." At this point the other front desk gentlemen and Arlo are both Staring at Brenda in disbelief.Long Story short if you want quality lux frames and quality service to match it. Spend your well earned money and your valuable time else ware. You will be treated with more competence and respect.

Doctor was late for visit When he did show up he saw me for about 10 minutes and then left. I wanted to get contacts but he was adamant about glasses. I was told they would come in 7 to ten days and it's been over that and they still haven't come. The office staff was incredibly friendly and helpful

Sorry but not impressed. I set an appointment and when I arrived the doctor was nowhere to be found. The staff called him and he was eating snacks in his car. He rolls in 5 mins later, does the quickest exam I’ve ever experienced, did a half job on contacts fitting and didn’t even care to stick around if I had any questions. He seemed annoyed, disinterested and basically ready for retirement. Will never return here.

Not impressed,The staff was nice enough but;Had to wait 40 minutes beyond my appointment before being seen.I was given an incorrect prescription. When I called to inquire about the incorrect prescription I was told to just change the numbers from the prescription when ordering lenses and if they don't work they will try to figure something out. Why is this my responsibility? Why did I pay for an eye exam?Update to owner:I did call, infact I called the number you provided in the reply. And I stated in the review the response I received. So who should I ask for this time that might do anything different?

It's cheaper to keep a satisfied customer than to gain a new one. I guess Debra doesn't understand that business concept. I've been coming here for years. Do you want to come in and look for your new pair of glasses? Apparently looking for new frames is now prohibited. Debra confronted us the moment we walked in the door with not so much as a hello or good morning. Even with having current prescriptions, our yearly eye appointment in a week and current vision insurance. We were told we could not look at frames. I guess my skin was a little too dark for her liking. ??♂️

Update: Spoke to Debra the manager again, and she would even let me speak, kept interrupting, and stated that the response to this review was for her to help me put a new order in and she will not be providing me with the contacts that I never received. And I quote “ I didn’t give you anything, I wasn’t even working here and I will not give you a box of contacts that you are missing”After 9 years of getting my contacts and glasses from this place and they can’t fix a mistake they made.I been going to this place for years to get my contacts and glasses, for this year I ordered a year supply of contacts but only received 9 month worth of it, when I noticed that I was on my last pair of contacts I reached out to the store and spoke with the receptionist who wasn’t sure how to help me so she transformer me to her manager. The manager refused to provide me with the rest of the contacts that I have already paid for and never received. She tried to push back saying they already gave them to me but that is not the case. If I received all the contacts I wouldn’t be reaching out. This is hands down the worse experience I have ever had with them, and if they did this I can’t imagine what other mistakes they are making and refusing to fix.Manger also stated that the only way she will give the 3 month worth of contacts that are missing is if I pay for it again. Not acceptable, I have record through my insurance showing I already paid.
