First time going to this roaring little speakeasy since becoming Prohibition and I've got to say that this is the BEST this building has looked in 20 years. It was adorable and right on theme from the moment they slid the bookshelves aside and seated us at the table. We were there in time for both brunch and dinner menus and had such a hard time deciding what we wanted-- everything looked delicious! I love the Mob Cob and will probably dream about it until I can go back and get it again. The server we had was delightful and fun to joke around with but was not annoying and let my friend and I have our time together to chat without interrupting to often. They were so much fun we will have to come back for the upcoming Alice in Wonderland themed show! The drinks are the highlight! Try one of the fun drinks- Bourbon and the Beast for the presentation win! So much fun!

Drinks are a little pricey, but totally worth it.

Enjoyed a wonderful night at Prohibition with my wife for her birthday dinner and there was a burlesque show that knocked our socks off. Great service and the food was top notch, best pasta I’ve had in a long time.

I have to say, this is one of the only places where I don't have a complaint. Everything was really damn good there. The service was to notch, the food was excellent... I have no issues with any of that. The only thing (and it's not a complaint) is that they get busy fast, and if you don't have a reservation, you're probably not getting in.

I have to break this down. My food was fantastic. I had the short rib and oh my God was it good. My husband wasn't so lucky. The Swanky Chedda was AWFUL. The brisket was cubed and looked like dog food, and was so tough. Don't order that. The big house sprouts were delicious. The drinks were good and fun. The burlesque show was amazing. The performers were beautiful. The service by far was just so disappointing. Jasiel was our server and with how fast he came out when he sat down we thought wow, this guy is gonna be great! We were wrong. As soon as our food was out and we were eating, we got ignored. I wanted to order one last drink while the show was going, but our server not once came to check on us. I know on a busy Friday night, it's somewhat expected right? Well when you have a clear view of the bar and just see him talking with other waiters who walked by it got a bit discouraging. I know he was waiting for drinks at the bar for other tables, but how about while those drinks are being made, check on some other tables. I even raised my arm to get his attention when I thought he was looking our way, but still nothing. I then thought, okay well maybe because the show is going he can't serve us, but then all the other tables around us were not being ignored by their servers. We ran out of water and by this time the show is over and I want to go home. We watched him throughout servicing larger tables with fantastic service, we just unfortunately got him. Finally a manager came round and I just said "look we've been waiting for our server and haven't seen him forever and now we just want to leave". Well Jasiel come back to our table 5 minutes after that interaction and after my husband left to the restroom and says "I heard you folks need to leave, I can take the payment right now if you'd like" I wanted to tell him " Are you kidding me!" My husband is the one paying for our date night and to come ask the lady for payment! I know, normally I would just whip out my credit card and pay, but it was a date, clearly, we were dressed up for the occasion, my husband would've been mad to find out I paid while he was in the restroom. So we were just glad to get out of there. We'll be back, but we hope to NOT get Jasiel. (He has a tattoo on his arm with 199- something right above his elbow, something I wanted to ask him about, but we never saw him again, so I'm hoping I get his name correct).

It's an extraordinary experience! The atmosphere is unique. The live music is always very fitting of the setting. Food is never disappointing. Service could be a bit slow when they are extremely busy, but the quality of service is always friendly and good. It's the restaurant that I always go to whenever I am in SLC.

The best thing about our evening were the custom cocktails. At $25 a piece, we wondered if they would be worth it. We were so pleasantly surprised. They were amazing. The atmosphere is certainly fun and has a creative vibe. Unfortunately, the food is very mediocre. We ordered the brussell sprouts for an appetizer and had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and steak mac & cheese for dinner. All dishes had very little flavor and were not seasoned. The brussell sprouts were undercooked and almost sour. The pasta had zero flavor and the sauces were just runny. Vegis in the fettuccine were also undercooked. Think cafeteria food. I really wanted to like Prohibition. Sadly, the food will keep us from going back again.

Our server was great and the manager (I believe) gave us really great whiskey drink recommendations to try! Had everything memorized and sold us on it, it was all amazing. I got the Alfred-o and the shrimp was to die for( and I don't usually like shrimp!)
