I never leave bad reviews, but I am giving a low rating because I got a Groupon months ago to get my nails done before a wedding. It was a great deal and they had good reviews. When I went to schedule, the salon was booked for months. They only have one person with minimal availability throughout the week who is completely booked. I’m moving in a week now and still have not been able to get in. A waitlist spot opened up and I immediately went to book it, but it was already taken within two minutes. This shows how many people are in my position. When I called the front desk, they were not helpful and did not give any other options. It’s unfortunate because I can’t attest to the services provided. My rating is only based on how the salon oversold too many Groupon deals and it does not seem like they care if many of their customers spent money but are unable to come in for an appointment. I’ll just lose the money now or will gift it to someone to (hopefully) use before the expiration date in October, if they can get in. Would not recommend.

Came in for a mani and pedi and was so pleased with the experience! The stylist was so thorough and personable. She worked with a broken nail I was trying to salvage so well. They use handmade lotions, scrubs, and soaps from a small business, which I loved. I'll definitely come back.

My sister received a Groupon for her birthday to get her hair done here. Catherine Henstrom—who was supposed to cut, highlight, and style her hair—was 35 minutes late to the appointment. She proceeded to take 5 hours to do my sister’s hair. This was not because the hair was difficult or because the appointment was supposed to take that long. This is because Catherine was working on someone else’s hair for two hours while my sister sat and waited with product in her hair. The appointment was supposed to start at 11 am (it didn’t start until 11:35 because of how tardy the stylist was), and it didn’t end until 4:45 pm. My sister wanted to get her hair darker with some light highlights, and Catherine told her she would not allow that because “dark hair is for winter.” That is not a customer-is-right mindset, and I am in shock that anyone would ever say that to anyone, but ESPECIALLY their client. My sister is a minor, and our family’s morals go strongly against curse words. Catherine did not care about my sister or her beliefs and was swearing up a storm in front of her, which is both uncalled for and inappropriate for a workplace. She also asked what my sister wanted to do when she grew up, and when my sister responded, Catherine shot down her dreams every time, saying they were unattainable or that she would be miserable in those jobs. Additionally, Catherine dropped practically every product and tool that she used, and one time, she dropped the straightener on my sister and burned her. I cannot believe that my sister sat through 5 hours of that just to get hair that she did not want. This salon can assure it will not be receiving my family’s business again.

I purchased three Groupons for pedicures. Gave one to my mom for her birthday in March. She had an appointment scheduled and they canceled the day of her appointment and wanted to reschedule her 45 days later.
It’s now June and I had an appointment for my daughter and I today. I just received a cancellation text message for both appointments.
Save your money and time. Terrible business.

My daughter and I went to get pedicures here. We had to book several weeks out in order to find a time that they could do us both at the same time and that fit with our schedule but I was okay with that as we didn't have a specific event we were preparing for and weren't close to the Groupon vouchers expiring. The salon is conveniently located off the freeway and across from Fashion Place Mall and while the decor is not my style and felt a little outdated, it was clean and cute and gave me the vibes from the salon in Legally Blonde and imagined Jennifer Coolidge working there! And I was pretty satisfied with the results of our pedicures - the nail techs took their time and were chatty and competent. I've had crappy pedicures from salons that have had nicer decor/more updated so if you're looking for a solid pedicure at a reasonable price, you can find it here.

Catherine did my daughters haircut and did an amazing job! She took the time to explain my daughters hair to her. She gave her the perfect cut. We loved the salons atmosphere and will definitely be back. Thank you Catherine!!

The haircut was good, just want to say that up front. They are experienced with cutting hair, HOWEVER their lack of people skills creates an uncomfortable atmosphere that lacks professionality and respect. Haircutters do not respect queer identities and will misgender, and talk a lot about their personal live. The vibe was not it. I was really dissapointed in my experience and will not be returning and would not recommend this place to lgbtq people, especially with all the great queer supportive hairdressers in SLC.

Prior to this appointment, I’d had bad acrylic nail removal experiences at other nail salons where it felt like they peeled the acrylics off and damaged my nails. Because of this and how trashed my nails already were (which was my fault due to scheduling late and being hard on my hands — multiple acrylics were peeled off or half broken off, split with white marks everywhere, etc.), I was tempted to just cancel my appointment. My nails were already so brittle and damaged, I considered letting nature run its course and having the rest of the acrylics fall off 😬 haha. I am SO glad I didn’t now!
V got my nails in so much better shape than I thought possible! She was gentle and thorough — clearly cared about my comfort and doing a quality job. I asked her to remove the acrylics and get my nails short and to the healthiest they could be under the circumstances. I am honestly shocked at how normal and healthy my nails look now. She took thorough care of my cuticles too. Serious night and day difference — wish I’d taken a before picture to show just how rough they were originally for comparison. V has my trust for future nail appointments!
Go see V for your nails and pedicures! ESPECIALLY if you’re looking for a quality acrylic removal. Game changer!
I will echo another review saying the salon does feel in need of some updating on the inside, but I felt cleanliness was still prioritized. The quality of the service matters most to me and I feel I got a quality experience. 😊

Got pedicures today. Best pedicure I’ve gotten. V is such a great technician. The intentionality and quality was top notch. If you go DEFINITELY request V she is the easiest to talk to and did such a great job!!
