When I came into Tinderbox, I was really overwhelmed at first. I had no idea where to start since I'm still pretty new to the world of cigars and tobacco; there is a lot to learn and choose from. But each time I've come in, I've always been greeted, ID'd, and shown a lot of kindness and hospitality. (Unlike some other places I've been to... Im lookin' at you, Beehive ?) One of the employees at the Box, Dax, always answers all of my questions without judgment, and he has really helped me figure out what I like and what to pair my smokes with. That dude is a wealth of knowledge and is super passionate about tobacco. For real, if you have any questions at all, ask him! He can help you!
Overall, the Box has quite a good selection and chill vibes. Definitely my recommendation over anywhere else in the valley.

The best place, the people that work there are so welcoming with such fun personalities! They remember their regulars and enjoy newcomers. It is the best place to buy cigars, tobacco, candles, incense, fun hand towels, figurines, journals, witchy items, fun socks, jewelry, flasks, ashtrays, lighters, pipe tobacco and pipes, and SO much more!

Been coming here a long time if I am out south of SLC. Generally use Beehive cigars if in their area.
The Snobbery of the staff at tinder box has become unbearable. You are not doing me a favor by pouring some tobacco in a bag.
Sorry to interrupt your intense conversation at the front counter to actually do what you were hired for.
Won't be a big loss as I am not a big fish, and generally only buy 5-10 cigars and some loose tobacco every month. But I will spend that money elsewhere and avoid this place.
On top of it the same products are about 30% less down the road.
If you like pretentious customer service. Here is your place.

I visited the store for the first time last week. I decided to buy a humidor along with some cigars. I didn’t get his name, but the manager helped me with selecting a humidor, explained how to season it, and carried it out to my vehicle since I am disabled. I would willingly refer anyone to the store. Thanks to the staff!

I had been a customer for some time, up until my recent experience with the owner. I had been driving down there all the way from Syracuse for several years, after the state took away my ability to purchase cigars and have them delivered. But noticed that the employees there being about the least customer service oriented and literally unfriendly. But I wasn't there to make friends, and i figured I was more educated concerning the cigars and I didn't need them to show me anything in the humidor. However, I would run into the owner from time to time when he was going through the humidor and in the back office, he would offer his help on his way in and out, but of course I found out really early on that I was not going to get anything from him i didn't already know, he seriously lacked any real knowledge, but l didn't care about that. I did care about the condition of the merchandise, and his humidor is maintained and the condition of the cigars was absolutely amazing compared to any competitors in the area. He was kind enough to get me signed up for the point program or award's program and it was to build towards either discount or whatever at some point, I figured i was spending likely 500 bucks a month and I have a good chance to save a little. But his employees never asked for my information and I wasn't getting any points, I would mention it from time to time and then I'd ask how many points I had, only after a few years to still have the same amount of points, never changed. The owner would be in the mood to have a conversation once in a while, and he'd introduce himself over and over because he wasn't sincere enough to really care about your name, and I realized that he was doing his business a serious injustice, and he was obviously missing the opportunity to get to know his customers and create any kind of loyalty or anything to make you feel like you were appreciated for the amount of money you spend there. Recently I had my wife with me which rare and the owner happened to be there that day, and requesting the ID's as customers walked in the door my wife immediately commented on his demeanor and she said he was almost cocky and he was arrogant to the customers, being so unprofessional he was in the humidor on the phone with someone telling them that he was without any employees, and he was going to be desperate for the upcoming schedule and he was obnoxiously loud, but he was never like that before, so I figured he was a little anxious and he was off his game that day. Until I was checking out and i had over 300 Dollars in cigars, his employee turned to him and asked about the discount for buying bulk and he responded to him with such a rude and pissy attitude the employee himself looked at my wife and I and rolled his eyes saying " sorry about that" and I decided to say something to the owner and asked why we were not getting points anymore, and his response to me was that he didn't offer them before but he's got a new program that would be better and he made it a point to tell me that I was wrong about the way they entered my info before when I explained that the employees weren't asking for my phone number, and he again proved he was not in the right business and he was just not capable of communicating with the customer and he was in fact the biggest detriment to his business, and he was so quick to tell me i was wrong and his new program is the way it's supposed to be but he nor his employe was smart enough to take this opportunity to get me signed up for it? It's obviously going to be really successful.... For sure right! O have since been to a competitor for the past month and I have actually been back to take advantage of the customer service and knowledgeable employees there and I have spent double that of what I usually do, and I had decided to share because I don't think that guy understands what the hell he's missing out on, and if he had a tenth of the walk in traffic of his competitor he could probably a

Where did Tender Box go?!? I have not visited this place in almost 35 years, because I had lived out of the country. This is not the Tender Box I remember. This place had a small Humidor with a small cigar selection and few pipes and tobaccos. On the other hand, it had a large selection of metaphysical and new age religious items. I guess the Tender Box I was feel in love with, has been lost to time. Unfortunately, you have also lost this customer.
