“My rental didn't start well. I rented a 22' truck for a cross-country move from Utah to Texas, and the truck broke down about 10 minutes into the drive, which led to a long delay and a rough first day. Getting the issue resolved was also difficult at first, and it took more persistence than it should have to get someone to take ownership of it.
That said, I want to give credit where it's due. Jarod, the manager, ultimately stepped in and got everything resolved. He took the situation seriously, followed through, and the resolution was fair. I'm pleased with how it was handled in the end.
Breakdowns happen, and what matters most is whether a company makes it right. Thanks to Jarod, this one was.”
“Easy and seamless. When I arrived in Salt Lake City it was easy to find the shuttle area, and someone was there within seconds of me calling. I had a great experience with the vehicle 🚗 while I was on my trip and the instructions were super clear for the returning of the vehicle. I would use Affordable Rental again.”

“Affordable rental car was by far the easiest rental car agency out there. They were quick to pick up and drop off. They were the most affordable place to rent a car. They even called us more than once to make sure we had a ride to the location since we were flying in and rented from the state street location. The workers were so down to earth and nice. We had one little issue with the car too and they did a great job at resolving the issue. We will definitely be renting from them when we go to SLC! If you want to save a headache you should too.”

“The is was my first time renting from Penske. I’ve always rented from Uhaul historically. What I loved about Penske was the truck. It came with a Cummins diesel engine, an Allison transmission, and even a spring-loaded driver’s seat for comfort. I was shocked when I discovered it even had adaptive cruise control. The diesel engine handled the mountains so much better than a gas powered truck. We got 9.7mpg on a 600 mile drive in a 26 foot truck fully loaded and driving through the mountains of Utah. It was great. The only downside for me was the high deck for loading and unloading with a Penske truck. The deck is about 4 feet high which means a really steep ramp as opposed to the lower deck in the Uhaul trucks.”

“If you need to rent a Uhaul, this place is nice. The staff is super friendly too. Kinda hidden sorta, because its also an auto shop but its easy to find being right off of 9000 S & State St. Calling ahead helps but not necessary.”

Thank goodness they didn't send me straight to the Home Depot / Penske in Millcreek right away. I will need a lot of gargle to get taste of that interaction out of my mouth.
