Really disappointed in my experience with Rick as I was referred by a friend I trust. I consulted with Rick about the benefits of opening an LLC. I'm new to the business world so I needed the information. After hearing his price for helping out and what the benefits would be, I decided against following up and setting up an LLC with him. However, he had taken down some of my basic tax information in documents he had me fill out before we met. He told me to return with more tax documents and he would start an LLC for me. I elected not to return as the price seemed steep for something I could do easily myself.A couple of weeks later I get a large bill in my email. They said they started an LLC for me and demanded money for the service- a service I didn't ask for or authorize. I told them this and said hey- I NEVER authorized this and didn't want it. If you can come up with any sort of document I signed authorizing this, send it my way and I'll pay the bill.No response- because I didn't authorize it, and no such document exists.2 weeks later I get a notice they're sending the bill to collections. They didn't even acknowledge my complaint that I didn't want an LLC founded and they did so without my permission.Dishonest and deceptive. If they do this with something small, you can guarantee they will be dishonest with larger sums. I've been on the phone now with the IRS (super fun) to dissolve the unauthorized LLC, and now I have to open a case with the State AG for identity theft. They took my information and used it without my permission. What will they do with your private information? What will they do with your money?I've learned in my life to not do business with dishonest people. Rick is dishonest. Avoid at all costs. There are better, more principled people in the valley to take your business to.

These guys are the best! Cam Sparrow does my business & personal taxes and is absolutely amazing. He will save you way more money than you will pay him! I have worked with the entire Sparrow staff because I do health insurance for a living. Health insurance is now tied in with taxes for a lot of people. As such, I have had the chance to work with Rick and Conrad a decent amount as well because many of my insurance clients us Sparrow & Co for their taxes. They all do an amazing job! I highly recommend!

If you're looking to get your taxes filed in a timely manner, look elsewhere. If you have a year to spare with weeks or months in between email responses, you're in the right place. I spent months dealing with Cam directly, sometimes not hearing back after a month of sending multiple emails, and he eventually had someone else start responding to my emails. I guess because he was tired of doing his job? I made a little progress with this new person, only to stop hearing back from her as well. The only reason I didn't abandon this pointless endeavor is because I paid $660, which was a complete ripoff considering I only got 2 years filed over the course of a year. An incomplete job and a waste of a lot of time.

Jared Chatterton is a TOTAL L***** Make promises to work with IRS, but fails to follow through leaving us with tens of thousands of dollars in LATE FEES, FINES, and harassment from the IRS. Plus we have to hire a REAL CPA to figure out what he did not do and replicate ALL of the documents he took with him. He DOES NOT return calls, and appears to have vanished from Cache Valley; His office is empty and colleagues cannot find him. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. NOTE: Sparrow and Co. may be a fine company, it is Chatterton who left us bleeding out in a financial ditch.
