We bought the XL version of the HarvestRight freeze dryer, with the oil free pump. After an initial hiccup with the vacuum hose, HarvestRight was able to troubleshoot our issue and get us a replacement part in a couple days. We have since successfully completed our first batch of freeze dried fruit quickly (less than 24 hours) and easily. The step by step instruction are easy to follow.

We bought the medium 4 tray unit a little over a year ago.We are completely with the quality and performance of this unit.We are learning as we go. Have been researching and checking out other people's experiences with HarvestRight for over two years. After finding out how they keep improving and renovating their product line I took the jump and purchased the mid size stainless steel model.Throughout the process of purchasing and getting advice on the setup placement, the service team was very patient and helpful which to me is an important commitment from the manufacturer. Without great service and a companies willingness to stand behind their product, all is lost!!

We purchased a harvest right large, and it was the best decision we made. It’s a no waste food storage process. We now catch food on sale and make larger purchases, then freeze dry it! We are really saving a lot of money by doing this. It’s super easy and the food tastes great when rehydrated. You can’t tell the difference. We really enjoy this unit more than we are expressing here.

I think the machine does amazing things and I really wanted one. It is very sad that my experience was so bad. I will try to keep it short. I spoke with Mitchell and he was a great sales representative and very helpful, I had to come back to pay for the machine another day. When I did David helped me and oh boy was he different than Mitchell, he kept asking how I was going to pay for it before he knew what machine I wanted, he seemed bothered when I would ask anything and he was just in a hurry. When I asked if he was in a hurry he told me that he was and that he was doing this as a favor to me so that I could get the machine. I ended up getting my credit card that he already had and left the store.After I bought it from Mitchel, I went to the store to pick it up and they ended up giving me the wrong one. I was 2 minutes away form my home and they called me to go back. When I said that I couldn’t, the lady got a little rude and said that I had to. I told her that I couldn’t since their location is not super close to my house. She then said to leave the machine in my SUV so that it would not be damaged and she would talk to a supervisor to see what they could do.I was stuck with the machine on my SUV and not able to use it since it was a tight fit and I did not want it bouncing around and maybe hurt one of my kids (specially the baby). Needless to way I was without a car for two weeks and this created a HUGE inconvenience. After calling customer service 4 times, not getting answers, call backs or any help because their system was down, I called Mitchell and he was able to get the ball going within 30 minutes.After one no show and waste of time, they showed up the second time and I must say Keith and Shawn were amazing. They definitely helped the whole situation. I was told that they would give me additional bags and oxygen absorbers for the inconvenience and they sure didn’t. It is sad that they don’t really care for their customers or keep their promises. I really hope that nothing happens to the machine, because I have absolutely no faith that their assistance will be good or prompt.Truly disappointed with the experience and if it was not because I need the machine, I would have returned it and stop involvement with them.Would not recommend to anyone.

my family recently purchased 2 of the Medium 5 tray unist. The instructions were very easy to follow and the machine tells you step by step what to do so its easy to get set up and start freeze drying food. I'm excited to be able to preserve the produce we harvest from our garden and make fun snacks for my Family. Harvest right has not only made a great product but their customer service people are awesome.
