I stopped by Master Muffler, and now they call themselves Master Auto Tech to replace my car’s muffler, Bruce the shop manager required one week lead time. I returned to the shop one week later, first, he didn’t know why I was there, and then he could not find my appointment, and lastly told me I needed to wait about an hour to find a vacant lift. His technician finally put my the on the hoist and came back to tell me they would install a stock muffler with a year warranty at $550 plus tax and hangars are extra. Bruce told me on our first visit that he is planning to use a stainless steel muffler with a lifetime warranty, while was waiting at the counter to talk to him he was on the phone trying to teach his friend how to be an effective manager, I was waiting at the counter for him to finish the call but he continued to carry on tutoring his friend, finally I asked him can you tell your friend that you will call him back later, he turned around looking at shop wall totally ignored me and continued with his conversation, at this point I had enough of these people and asked the tech to put my car down and I drove away Next, was Ray’s muffler, I was very impressed by their professional attitude, they gave me a stainless steel Magna straight through muffler with a lifetime warranty for almost half price.

Popped in for an oil change while passing through town. They got me in immediately and got it done in a timely manner. Ricky is an incredibly nice guy, I will definitely be returning for mechanic work in the SLC area.Service: Oil change

They saved me money by fixing the muffler. Great customer service. It was a little slow, but I think every business is slow on getting things completed because of staffing. Just had to follow up and it got completed. ?? it will last at least two or three years!!Service: Auto exhaust system repair

Never come here if you are a women, this boy and I say boy because an actual respectful man would never tell a woman to "have your husband call me" when he can't explain to you what is going on with your car and tried to "mansplaine" to me. The audacity of this person. I was just asking questions about my car and trying to understand what was being told to me. He shouldn't work in customer service if he is going to act like such scum and be rude to the customer no matter your elderly age Bruce. All I wanted was a quote on work I am considering to get done, another shop told me $200.

I had an issue with the engine belt making a noise. The team verified the issue and replace the part under warranty. Fan belt works great and no charge. This is a great location and we bring all our cars to them. Never had any issue and great to work with.

I went there to have an inspection done on my car. After the inspection they said that I needed all of these repairs done that were not necessary and my front windshield was cracked. The repairs amounted to almost $2000. We checked the security cameras and they said that they did not find any cause for the crack in my windshield.Later that day I went over to Point S, they did an inspection and they found that all I needed was for my rear rotors to be replaced which amounted to $500. So I went with Point S in the end because they where honest about what actually needed to be done.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Although the supplier sent the wrong rotors for my Jag, they finally came in and the mechanics had me back on the road at minimal cost and excellent wirkmanship

Excellent customer service and hospitality! My elderly father and I were traveling from Dallas to Washington state. After staying the night in Salt Lake City, his car wouldn’t start. We luckily found this auto repair shop a block from our hotel, so we jump started the car with the rolling jump start trick since the car is a manual transmission. Upon arriving, Ricky greeted us with a smile and a listening ear. He was very friendly and personable. Although they were extremely busy, he didn’t hesitate to help. He said he couldn’t imagine how it must feel to be traveling so far from home and then break down. He worked us into their packed day, had the part delivered quickly, and got us on our way. THANK YOU, Ricky! And thank you, Master Auto Tech for hiring such a kind, caring, and helpful person - he delivered excellent customer service and hospitality to us. My father and I appreciate him!

This is the first time I have ever given a review/survey but I just couldn't go without sharing my experience. I'm a 63 year old women and in my lifetime I have never been treated with more respect and actually listen to what I had to say . They were all so kind took my vechical right in explained what they were needing to do and charged me less then any other garage had quoted me. I felt comfortable and confident with their suggestions and left there feeling so grateful and 100% satisfied. I have friends that are single and have felt so discouraged after having work done on their veichles Which made me nervous when I was looking for repair now they all know the only place to go is Master AutoTech in North Salt Lake and ask for Ricky.
