My son’s car’s transmission went out two years ago, and we took it here to get it fixed. They quoted us $8,000 when we took it in, and a month later the price went up to $12,000. It took over six months to get the car back. They gave us a warranty for the transmission, and told us it was a new transmission (it was likely a faulty, used transmission). The transmission lasted less than a year, and we brought the car back to AAMCO. Another 2 months later they fixed the transmission, and it only lasted 6 weeks. When we brought the car back again, they changed the diagnosis to a wire harness to get out of having the warranty apply for the transmission. Through our own research we learned that wire harnesses do not go bad unless they get damaged when the transmission is taken in and out. To fix the wire harness they wanted $4,000. Currently, we just towed the car from AAMCO because we are just done being scammed by AAMCO. They were going to start charging us for having the car there, $40 per day. We have talked to many others that have had similar experiences with AAMCO in Ogden on Wall Ave. You’re guaranteed to get taken advantage of and ripped off by AAMCO. DO NOT GO HERE!

Been coming here for a couple years now, my car is a mismatch body and drive train completely different. First time was because my transmission was shot, 2nd time my engine blew, and just recently warranty replacement on the engine. DeVante has always been super good and chill with me and my car, he's gone above and beyond with the most recent issue helping extra to get the engine replaced. Great guy same with their master tech down there. Hopefully won't need more work any time soon but if I do definitely going back.

Devante, and the crew are awesome. They fixed my Ram, replaced the Valve body, and my customers Land Rover Defender, since we do not do major transmission work. They do good work! Bring your land rover to Import Motor Werx.

Absolutely terrible experience here. AAMCO transmissions is criminal. DO NOT COME HERE!
They will quote you a price and tell you same day service, then call back with several other "suggested options" that cost several thousands of dollars. Then when you come to pay. They have several hidden and undisclosed fees added on upon checkout. Things like "shop supplies" and "tool usage". Are you kidding me?
Add that to your price quote!! You're stealing from customers. Davontae was rude and disrespectful. He cursed and "apologized" for "my bad attitude." How would you feel??
Will not come here again. Do not recommend.

My experience at AAMCO today was excellent. Store manager DeVante's telephone and in person customer services skills were outstanding. His explanation following Rene's analysis were clear and understandable. Technician Rene was courteous, knowledgeable and patient. He went above and beyond what I had expected and pursued the problem until he found the right solution. I recommend AAMCO and these two gentlemen highly.

Very nice I would go back any time if i had the money for another 2000$ air leak for them to fix in the gas tank that they fixed already but now gas tank needs sealing but i guess the first smoke test didn’t show em. guess drive till it breaks, it drives better anyway i shouldn’t of gone to transmission auto for non transmission?? Nice guys,,
