The Eccles Art Center, a Victorian sandstone mansion, exhibits the work of local, regional, and nationally known artists. The mansion houses the offices of the art center, the Junior League, Weber Arts, and Rotary. Other buildings in the complex hold studios for the visual and performing arts classes sponsored by the center, which are open to the public. An excellent sales/gift gallery, representing over sixty local Northern Utah artists, is found in the carriage house. Colorful gardens with a growing collection of sculpture complete the center. The Eccles Art Center is praised as the "creme de la creme of western art" and a "hidden gem" in Ogden, Utah, known for its rich history, diverse range of art products, and vibrant art community. The center hosts First Friday Art Strolls and openings, offering opportunities to enjoy fantastic conversations, decadent refreshments, and the finest local creativity. The center also provides a free art pantry during the summer, offering free art supplies to the community. With its beautiful historic setting and commitment to supporting the arts, the Eccles Art Center is a cherished cultural hub in the Ogden area.
