Fort Buenaventura Park is a picturesque and versatile outdoor destination. The park features well-maintained, paved paths that wind through gorgeous fall foliage, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls. Visitors can explore historic elements, enjoy scenic views, and take advantage of the park's amenities, including a disc golf course and large, fenced-in areas perfect for dogs to run and play. The baseball fields offer both small bleacher seating and ample larger bleachers, though visitors may want to bring their own chairs. While the bathrooms lack soap, the park overall provides a delightful escape from the city, with a serene lake and the opportunity to attend special events like the mountain man event.
We went on an afternoon in Early November and had a wonderful time. The trees were gorgeous with their fall colors, the paths were nicely paved and easy on my stroller, and it was scenic everywhere we went. We had a great time looking at the historic elements as well.

Amazing little gem hidden away, you forget you are in the city. Trails to walk along the river or pond. Amazing frisbee golf if that's your thing. Tons of trees and shade.
