Have had excellent help with each visit. Mason B has done a great job in explaining, recommending,and helping us to set up various accounts. I drive miles out of my way to do business at the Golden West Credit Union in South Ogden.Highly recommend the service and help they provide. Thank you Mason!

Don’t choose GoldenWest for a loan. I have two loans with them and I opted to use their “skip-a-pay” feature to avoid an overdraft fee in my primary account. I paid the $25 fee they require and signed the required documents. The loan payment still came out of my primary account at another Institution causing my account to overdraft. I spoke to a representative who said they would be unable to reverse the payment directly and I would have to wait a day to get the funds back to manually deposit back in to my primary account. The offered no compensation for the trouble I had Including the $25 fee I paid Goldenwest or the overdraft fee that I had to pay at my primary institution. So while GoldenWest makes more money off the single skipped payment due to the delayed interest, they still take my $25 for the skip fee and I still have to deal with my primary credit union and their overdraft fee. Will be refinancing both of my auto loans now. Thanks GoldenWest. Wonderful way to treat your customer of 6 years with two separate auto loans through you.

** They responded to talk to them about it. I have. This has been going on for months. I haven't been able to use Mobile deposit. I've had to wait countless extra time for every deposit or transaction. Management has to be included in everything... all because I was taken advantage of once by a fraudulent company. It's wrong what you're doing. You're punishing me. You're not treating me as a member. You're treating me as a child. I can't make a simple deposit without someone having to call your fraud dept. to accept $5. It's a joke. Thx a lot. 30 yrs of banking for what?Original Review Below:Check for $5.43 - They marked MY account fraudulent because a potential company that was going to hire me sent ME a check that was fraudulent & I used mobile banking now they won't clear it for me to use mobile deposits so I have to drive to a location every time, wait in line, wait for them to CALL the security team, clear the check, then they get back to me and make the deposit. Even if the check is $5. It's not protecting me, it's punishing me for something someone has already done.It's my credit union treating me like a criminal. It takes 20 min. to deposit a check!!! If I want to make a regular deposit into my OWN account, it takes the same amount of time, 20 min. I've now been on hold just to ask a question for 10 min and 45 sec. They say they're protecting you, it's not about you, it's about them. There isn't a grace period. They told me Friday that they do the same thing to 'at risk' elderly, etc. How hard are they making their lives I wonder? I'm tech savvy and educated! This is and has been a nightmare for the past 5 months and they still haven't lifted or changed anything.I'm switching banks. I've been with Goldenwest since age 13 & I'm 42. I've referred family to them who use them today. I've referred people to them for home loans, car loans, etc. used them myself... for it to take 20 min to do a deposit is ridiculous. For me to be cutoff from mobile deposits from being scammed once is ridiculous.They're worried about them.

Enjoyed working with Daniel at the main Ogden branch. Moving my accounts over from Wells Fargo. They are losing a 30-year customer. I enjoy working with the folks at Goldenwest!

Daniel Rhead, a Financial Service Representative, did an excellent job helping me set up my father's trust account. He was responsive, thorough and made things very simple. It was important for me to have this completed quickly and correctly. He did an amazing job and I'm very grateful for his support in a difficult time (losing my father). There is always a long wait in a long line. Only a couple of the tellers know what they are doing. Half the time I don't get the right info I need for my loan processors, or their system isn't working, or a manager/supervisor isn't available to help.Service with a smile goes a long way. So does please, thank yous, & have a nice days. If you don't have a good attitude, then you probably shouldn't work in customer service. And working slowly like walking through molasses doesn't help customers in a hurry. Don't tell me what you can't do, tell me what you CAN do for me.

Being new to the area, I spent a lot of time reading reviews and about services offered before deciding to open accounts at Goldenwest. I was not disappointed, when I arrived to open accounts and was introduced to Daniel. Daniel spent time listening to my needs and explaining what accounts were available and how they worked. He also understood that our out of state move came with some unique needs and went above and beyond to help us. Since this initial interaction I have been in to do additional banking and the tellers I have worked with have been friendly and efficient. I am very satisfied with my decision to use Goldenwest and will be calling on them for all my financial needs. They offer great customer service!
