I previously left a negative 1 star review for this IAA Auction slc location due to some issues I encountered. However, I’m happy to update my feedback now. The branch manager reached out to me and addressed my concerns promptly and professionally. They resolved the issue that I was worried about, and I truly appreciate their dedication to customer service. Thank you for making things right!

Misleading and Unprofessional
The staff at the IAAI Salt Lake City location was rude, and even the manager talked loudly instead of helping. The car had full hail damage, but the website didn’t mention anything about it. The photos also didn’t show the real damage. This was very disappointing and misleading.

Everyone be aware, Very Misleading Information and Poor Customer Service, I had a very bad experience with the IAAI Salt Lake City location. The staff was disrespectful and unprofessional, and the manager raised her voice instead of helping us, what’s worse is that the information on their website was completely misleading. The vehicle had major hail damage, but this was never mentioned anywhere on the listing. Now they say it’s “not their responsibility,” which is unacceptable, and it seems like the photos online also hid the actual damage. I hope customers are aware of this before buying from this location.

DO NOT COME HERE Ogden location, if possible. I was in a car accident and my car got transported here. After going and retrieving my belongings I noticed a lot of my items in my wrecked car were stolen. When I got there I waited over an hour just for them to bring my car out, then when I got in the car everything was gone but then looked in the trunk and I thought cool they bagged it for me. But then upon bringing the bags home a lot of my items were gone, jewelry items I had in there as decorations, my car steering wheel cover, cup holder coasters even my seat covers. Small things like small tuba were storage containers, my charging cords and plugs, all of which can be replaced but it’s the integrity of the business that I don’t trust. You expect that when you get into an accident and the car gets towed you are able to retrieve all of your personal possessions. Apparently not with this place. Do not trust this place. Avoid at all costs if possible. The woman that I dealt with was rude and very unprofessional. Not a place I will go to ever again if given the choice.

🚨 ATTENTION DRIVERS – DON’T GET CAUGHT! 🚨
Yes, the yard “closes” at 5:00 PM… but reality check: after 4:30 PM, no vehicles get released.
If you stroll in at 4:31, you’re done. If the “girls” at reception are busy on the phone, you’ll just sit there watching the clock tick. And when they finally look up, they’ll smile and say:
“Oh, it’s after 4:30… come back tomorrow at 8:00 AM, thanks!”
So, if you just drove hours to get there—congratulations, you just wasted your trip.
Moral of the story: Be there BEFORE 4:30 or kiss your pick-up goodbye.

My vehicle was totaled, and the insurance company had it towed here. When I went to get my stuff, my vehicle tag was missing along with most of my personal items. I told the office staff, and the said I needed to contact my insurance company. My insurance company said well no one knows anything. It's bad enough being in a auto accident, but this just added to my stress.

Bad customer service from the front office. I think you guys should realize you work with other humans and not animals. If there is a mistake between you and another business and it falls on the owner of a vehicle that now has a car in your yard, learn to take some accountability especially when a person and their car shouldn’t be there in the first place. If a release is approved for a vehicle and the owner is there to pick it up, treat people like they have a job, family, and other responsibilities to get to. For a business that handles some people’s unfortunate events and life altering situations y’all have ZERO empathy. Many people can’t afford legal representation and it’s a shame you treat people so inhumanely and only do your job when you are forced through legal representation. It’s sad to say the least. I hope y’all don’t take too much pride in the work you do or maybe gain a different perspective for people in similar future situations.

Bought multiple cars from this place. Had great experiences before, but the last 2 cars I purchased were listed as run and drive, but neither of them did that. First one had a bad transmission, the next had a bad engine. If the car is being sold by “Peddle” DO NOT BUY! Peddle buys junk cars and sells them here. Was told the most recent purchase was a “donated” vehicle. It was not a charity car, it was a peddle car. Steer clear of Peddle!

I asked the worker multiple times if I had every document and forgot to give me the title of the car and I was forced to leave it in a ramdon gas station for days until they gave it to me

This action is a scam they will advertise their cars as run and drives until you pay for it, when you go there to pick up your vehicle, the whole transmission is missing

This branch has repeatedly messed up and is very inconsistent. Losing keys, unable to accept payments, just all around rough. This is coming from someone who has purchased over 100 cars from them in the last 12 months. This is my least favorite location.

We were told we would get a call before our totaled vehicle was picked up from the tow yard. We never got a call, and so we showed up to finish getting stuff out of our vehicle and we were informed IAA had already picked it up. IAA worked with us and let us go get our stuff, but it was a lot further for us to drive. I also wish it was easier to join the auction as a private party. We would have bid on our vehicle.
