Outstanding service… I came from Midas where they wanted to charge me almost double for new rotors & brake pads.. went here and despite the reviews I was very pleased with the service, professionalism, and knowledge I was given. Honest and professional. 10/10… great pricing and they let me know exactly what I needed! Thank you!

My visit was a Rollercoaster ride. Trying to make it short:
I had an appointment at 10am. They didn't call me until 5:30pm with the solution (most of which I already said needed attention).
Kept my car overnight and did NOT complete all of the work on my car.
Manager gave me discount but still charged be for labor of the work the technician did not complete.
Picked up my car with GREASE marks all over my white car on the inside and outside. Would post pictures if I could.
Went to A DIFFERENT AUTO shop and they told me pepboys tried to charge me for new breaks that I did NOT need.
Very frustrated to feel like I was scammed money by this location, had to delay my vacation/ weekend plans due to their lack of communication, and lack of care for my car. NEVER going back or recommending.

This review is for the Riverdale, UT Pep Boy service center. I received EXCELLENT care from Paul, who serviced my vehicle on May 25, 2025. He was very patient listening to my story, sold me a tire, and I was in and out within an hour. Please reward these young men who are Customer Service stars. Paul deserves Employee of the Month!!!!

Count this at 0 stars. The employees are dishonest. They told me that had spoken to my father about a service and he (my dad) approved me to pay the additional cost. The funny thing is, my father was deep in the mountains on a hunting trip. No service or ability to approve this. The employees looked me in the eye and said “oh yeah, I just got off the phone with him. He said it was okay!” I was shocked. I have told everyone I know in the Ogden area about my experience and they will not ever be serviced here. Anytime oil changes come up in conversation I mention this. I posted about it online. I hate pep boys.

Paul was amazing. Manager Paul fantastic and Casen had us in and out. Got us in right away. Free break inspection. Resolved the issue and had us back on the road I in under 30 minutes.

Very disappointed by the quality of customer service. I had a scheduled appointment the day prior at 6 pm. When I came in there were 3 workers up front just hanging out. As I walked up they all acted like I was crazy for having an appointment at that time. Then told me it would only take 40 minutes to do my AC. I left it overnight and came back in the morning at 9:30 (hour and a half past opening). I was told that they were just getting to it and to come back in an hour. I’ve been here for 4 hours since coming back. All the while that I have been waiting here the store manager and been swearing to customers over the phone. The manager has said out loud that one of their techs has been doing wrong work on cars and that it’s all being caught on their cameras. It’s a total zoo here. If you come beware. You might need a tent.

Literally would be a 0 star review if possible. Dropped the car off at night to have the new tires installed Thursday morning and to have an alignment done. Pretty simple, nothing to intense, but it led to one of the most scary moments for a parent. We picked the car up, its an 03 Chevy Tahoe that our kids drive. We like them to be in a little bigger car to feel a little safer. I was driving my car, and our 16 year old daughter was driving the Tahoe, we left the Riverdale Pep Boys and turned from Riverdale Rd to Washington Blvd, and right before we got to the Autozone, probably 2 miles at most, the drivers side rear tire flies off the tahoe. I see this happen in my rear view mirror and pull into Autozone, and my daughter, in the Tahoe that barely moves at this point is able to roll into there as well. I am now watching my daughter in the rearview and then look as the runaway wheel/tire make its way down Washington Blvd, cross all lanes of traffic, miraculously no cars were coming, it rolls through a mexican restaraunt parking lot and then hits a parked car up against a building. It dented the rear drivers side door of that car and then comes to a rest back in the parking lot of the mexican restarant. Chaos ensues as people rush out of businesses to see what was going on and I am watching this from across the street in autozone's parking lot trying to comfort my daughter who is now crying uncontrollable and doesn't want to drive ever again.
I had to call Pep Boys and spoke to Paul and Mike (assistant Manager) and they instructed me to call their towing dispatch to get the car towed back to the shop. I did that, while wating the police came and let us know that this will need to be worked out individually with Pep Boys to remedy the siatuion for me and my car as well as for the lady who the tire damaged her car. I got the car back, Freddie, the store manager was not in so couldn't talk to him, but Mike said they would get the car on the lift and run through everything and fix the damage that occured. The damage I could see was to the wheel and the brake rotor. The wheel has some scarring on the mounting holes, not sure if it is safe and will hold tied anymore. The rotor was chewed up from the car falling on it and rolling on it. The brake lines seemed to be good and the caliper did too. The rear diff seems to have made it through unscathed, but the emotional trauma to my daughter has been pretty rough, she is terrified to drive and I don't blame her. I called to follow up on the car after not hearing anything for 24 hours and this was the first time i spoke to Freddie the manager. He said they would get to a deep inspection after the other cars who were there waiting got serviced. A whole day went by and the following day I got a message from the store, not even the manager that it was done at the end of the day. We were without our car for about 2 extra days, on a simple tire changover and alignment. Freddie wasn't even there so I asked Mike to leave him a message to call me on Monday when he was back in. Monday goes by and by late afternoon, I didn't hear anything, and so i left a VM at the shop when i called to have him call me. It is now Tuesday and I still have not heard from Freddie. There was some cosmetic damage to the car that was never addressed and Mike indicated that anything as far as a remedy goes needs to come from the store manager Freddie. I don't think that Freddie will be calling me back, so my recommendation to anyone getting things done at Pep Boys, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN. If they can't do a simple tire changeover and make sure the wheels are torqued, can they do anything right? We looked around where the wheel came off the car, we know where it is because of a huge scar in the road and didn't see any lug nuts. This leads me to believe they weren't torqued for sure, and were they even on the car to begin with. We went less than two miles. Pep Boys, if you are reading this, reach out and try to make t
