The customer service is the worst I've ever ever dealt with. I've never been charged with so many hidden fees in my life. When you sign up they don't tell you that in order to cancel you'll have to pay your membership fee, any additional fees like guest privileges, even if you're canceling weeks before your next billing period. Also, of course the wonderful $25 cancellation fee on top of that. You're better off going to Planet Fitness where they actually take care of their members and aren't just trying to squeeze as much money out of you as possible.

it's good until it's not, I've been going to this gym consistently for almost 50 days and I had to hit chest from home today because vasa decided to pull their pants down and f*ck me with a random 110$ charge, wasn't the first time this has happened and it wont be the last. Ps their shitty app won't let me change my plan no matter how many times I try

I am disheartened by recent changes at VASA, particularly the decision to prohibit instructors from teaching back-to-back classes. Many of our dedicated instructors have invested time and money in acquiring various certifications, considering this is their career to support their families. Despite their commitment, VASA has introduced a no-show fee for premium members, but disappointingly, this fee doesn't contribute to instructor compensation or pay. Instead, it adds to the corporation's revenue without a corresponding increase in instructor pay. These changes not only hinder instructors but also make it challenging for VASA to attract and retain members. It's concerning that, while VASA is actively seeking ways to boost membership, it simultaneously erects barriers that negatively impact both instructors and members. Personally, I've decided to refrain from booking classes in advance, and I've heard that many Studio Red members are canceling their reservations as well. It's disheartening to witness a disconnect between the company's actions and the well-being of its instructors and loyal members.

I find the gym staff attentive and friendly. I was greated as I entered the gym. The facility is clean and for me I enjoy the natural lighting alongside the warmer lighting.

I would not suggest this place. I had a pass for 7 months here and they do not enforce the gym etiquette. There are people saving the equipment for over an hour by using their personal belongings. If you talk to an employee nobody does anything about it. Out of the 8 or so pieces of equipment I use at least one of them is getting saved each time for the whole duration I am there. These past couple of time it’s been 3-5 pieces of equipment. Do not recommend this gym.

Starting off I am dissatisfied with the vasa hour adjustments since covid especially considering the flexible hours are why I started going to vasa. I especially wish they didn’t close so early on Sundays.Something that is nice about this location is that for some reason the pool isn’t usually that busy which I love but it could be because it isn’t the cleanest. There’s usually random stuff at the bottom which is kind of gross but I’ve been to grosser locations in slc so.The workers are really friendly and nice to talk to though usually which I appreciate. I’ve never felt unwelcome by them. The woman’s locker rooms are decently maintained unlike most locations (specifically west valley and van winkle) so that’s nice. I wish they had a hip abductor machine I think they only have the adductor (the one you use to bring your legs inwards) maybe I’ve not been able to find it I’m not sure but those help with my hip pain and strengthening so it’s sad they don’t have one figured I’d mention it if anyone really likes those and needs it as a part of their workout.

Been going to Vasa for around 6 years now. I started going to the Clinton one which I loved. When I moved up to North Ogden I started going to the Ogden Vasa and it was okay. Not as clean and nice and way more full of people, but still a great gym. Over the years it has become pretty run down and it is a zoo in there. I frequently have to wait or just end up leaving because the machines are broken or all being used. We really need another Vasa up this way. Just having one for everyone this far north is not enough. I know lots of people have gone to EOS for these reasons. If anything not having broken machines and a cleaner facility would do.

I would say they probably clean their steam room once a week. It's always disgusting. Other than that equipment is not bad. It's really just the steam room and bathroom. They are never clean.

This could be a great gym with just a little bit of improvement in management. The facilities are pretty solid though they could stand to get many more plates. There's always a lack of plates.I mean... its not that hard or expensive to hire someone to clean the locker rooms is it? Maybe it is.... IDK.The men's locker room at VASA Ogden is far worse than the worst gas station restroom you can imagine. You enter at your own risk. The stench of years old urine on the floor could gag a maggot.I really don't understand why they let it go like this. Hire a cleaning service for bleeps sake. The other thing management could do to make a huge difference would be simple training of new members in the basics of gym etiquette. And perhaps ongoing reminders of etiquette on flyers and on the screens. And perhaps even get some trainers out on the floor and provide positive reinforcement of basic gym etiquette. There are too many members at VASA Ogden who are just jaw dropping rude and/or ridiculously tacky. And it makes for a tense, unfriendly environment sometimes. You've got people during peak times hogging multiple sets of dumbbells, camping out on benches taking selfies and texting. And you've got the extra special ones bringing dumbbells and barbells over to the racks/machines and supersetting so that they hog both the machine and the weights. Its really outrageous sometimes and it leaves other members just standing there unable to train.I like to superset just as much as the next guy... but that should only be done during very slow times in the gym when nobody else is waiting to use the equipment. If the gym is busy its incredibly rude to hog multiple machines/racks/weights at the same time.I worked in gyms years ago and positively enforcing basic gym etiquette was just a normal part of day to day management. It seldom needs to be confrontational... at all. It just need to be made clear, all the time, that good gym etiquette is cool and being rude is not cool. Nobody at the gym wants to be uncool.I know that VASA Ogden isn't the only gym that struggles with stuff like this, but they REALLY struggle with stuff like this.In the words of Joey Swoll - we need to do better.

Most of the employees here are pretty nice, and helpful, but the facility itself needs to be better taken care of. There have been very few times that I have come here and not had a single thing that I wanted to use be broken. When I was first coming in, at least one of the drinking fountain/water bottle fillers was always broken. Then the outer thigh machine broke and hasn't been replaced for at least a few months now. Then when my wife and I went yesterday, 2 of the benches in the free weights section were missing major pieces and practically unable to be used, and the knee pad for the ab rotation machine was also missing. With how many people attend this gym and how much a membership costs, you would think that they would be putting more money into keeping it running. At this point, I am seriously considering taking my money elsewhere to a place that actually maintains their facilities and replaces broken machines.

Joined this gym because of some of the benefits it offered online, massage lounge, light therapy along with all the machines and training offered. have been waiting for 3 months for everything to be offered that is advertised. The reason for 3 stars not 0 is they are an amazing team of personal trainers that are worth 5 stars. Working with Brian and it has been great to go from afraid to walk in the door to confidence in what I am doing in the gym.

I just joined Vasa Ogden and have to say it is clean, great machines, big facility, and super busy. I still felt like there was no overcrowding even with it being super busy. Everyone was friendly and courteous to one another. I am looking forward to my gym/health journey.

Unfortunately, I am cancelling my membership shortly after joining for a few reasons. Overall, the gym needs some serious cleaning and maintenance...cleanliness seems to be management's last priority here. There are also a lot of pieces of equipment that are in need of repair / replacement. I understand that it is a busy gym, but there is a lack of equipment, like plates, for the volume of people that are working out at one time. As I was using a leg press machine, there were actually men taking plates off of the rack while I was using it, and when I got up to add more weight, there wasn't enough for me to use. I'm now in the middle of an overly complicated cancellation process, and will be avoiding VASA gyms in the future.

I would give more stars except for two reasons, one being far more important than the other. I will preface this by saying that I have had a membership here for quite sometime out of convenience and also keep missing contract cut off -dealing with cancelling a membership is major pain in my neck. I also kept the membership for tanning- which I occasionally used in the winter to elevate my mood, as I have SADD and to get a base tan in spring. They have removed the tanning beds- I'm sure because they aren't that healthy- but I feel like what I do to my skin is my prerogative. They are adding red light therapy, that's cool I guess. Be cooler if that gave me a tan. But the NUMBER ONE reason for 2 stars- it's FILTHY. The bathrooms have grime from floor to wall, sinks haven't been cleaned in ages, the sink is separating from the wall due to splitting caulk. The fans are caked with dust and columns layered with dirt and grubby hand marks. Place is falling apart. Management may need an upgrade, additional training or a good reality check. Yoga class was good, but I felt disgusting by the time I left that place. It's really gone down hill since I had been there last. People are probably getting sick when they go or have some really tough immune systems.

I wish they had more studio red classes in the morning. They only have the crack of dawn at 5:30 AM or late morning at 9 AM on the weekdays. What about the people who want to workout at normal hours like 6:30, 7 or 7:30 AM? Why doesn't this gym have more workout classes in the morning? It's a large gym with a lot of members but is lacking morning fitness classes.
