DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE OR REPAIR ONE WITH THESE GUYSStarted a transmission repair with Mike, the owner. We agreed on a cost. When I came to pick up the vehicle, he increased the cost by 38%. I understand unforeseen cost increases may come up in the interim, but with almost a 40% cost increase, I should have been notified about those cost overruns before the work was completed.Agreed to the cost increase with a two payment agreement, the balance to be paid at a later date.During the interim, the transmission stopped working...The issues1. Re-Rebuilt the transmission for the second time. I was told the their suppliers gave them bad gears2. Brought it back a third time. A bent transmission cable laying and rubbing on the drive shaft3. Brought it back a fourth time. The trans. cable was never attached to the transfer case. Bushing missing4. Brought it back a fifth and sixth time. A leaking transmission oil pan. Tightened the oil pan screws then a new pan gasket6. Brought it back a seventh time. Torn drive shaft rubber boot, and striped u-joint bolts. Drive shaft and u-joint bolts removed twice from previous reworkI’ve listed 7-return visits for the trans. repair, but for every re-repair I was there a least 2-3 other times. Mike was never in the shop or the mechanic couldn’t help at the appointment time. All these rework came within the timeframe of the repair guarantee. His young minion cursing because he wanted me to pay for the driveshaft rubber boot and bolts that was stripped during the first repair. (This after I paid an additional 40% of the promised repair cost)DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE OR REPAIR ONE WITH THESE GUYS

I broke my ankle on December 10th out of State, and when getting my vehicle home I lost the transmission. Mike @ Zarkellys helped me out tremendously with the swap as I was in no shape to do the work myself, which is normally not an issue as I'm a mechanic myself. Not only was his new shop not open yet, I won't get into costs, but I will say that he went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of while out of work on a limited income. Never have I ever met a guy who's more willing to help those in need and go the extra mile to help someone in need. Mike, Mike and Don, me and my family thank you very much!

MIKE AND HIS STAFF WERE EXTREMELY PERSONABLE. WILLING TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP ME FIND A CAR. HONEST , HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE. (7 months ago)Updated 07/04/2021So I thought, the vehicle I purchased from them has given me nothing but issues since week 1. In contacting Mike, from the beginning , he has been full of empty promises stating they stand by what they sell. Each time I've contacted him thru text I have been told to drop it by, call or text before coming in. I have attempted to call with no answer, left messages with no response. I was told the car I purchased was not in any major car accidents. On the contrary, in taking it in numerous times and spending over $2500 in repairs, I have found out it has sustained major engine damage.Feeling very disappointed and taken advantage of and now I am stuck with a vehicle that has had ongoing issues. Single mother who can not afford a car payment and was looking for a reliable vehicle to get me to and from work.I would like Mike and ZarKelley's to "make this right."

UPDATE:Mike Salazar called me to talk to me about my review but I hung up because he was being abusive on the phone. I have included a photo of 2 text messages he sent me after the call ended. And that is why I put up the review. I know that you can find good deals but I wanted the buyers to know that he did in fact sell me several items of jewelry that were put on his website as "14k gold" and when I had them checked they were actually plated. When I brought them back in to his store, he told me to prove that they were not real. Umm, aren't you the one who sold it? YOU should be checking it before it ever gets put up for auction, especially something like gold. I did prove they were not real and he wanted to barter over the refund. Mike Salazar has issues with discussing problems with his customers in a professional manner. See the photo and you will understand. Calling customers "pathetic" is not professional. He kept texting me and I was forced to report the harassment to the authorities.Dec 2018:You can find good deals here but look at what your buy before you bid. I purchased gold from here and all of it was plated. When I went in to return it for not being as described, the owner Mike gave me a real hassle about how I should have known. I think that when something that passes through the owners hands, they should be aware of the authenticity of it. Gave zero stars due to the owners response to the issue.

If you are looking for an honest review then PLEASE READ ON!I was in a really tight bind on trying to get my truck fixed. I can usually fix my own vehicles, but this was an issue that really stumped me. I was having an issue with a P0455 evap leak on my Dodge Truck. Initially, I thought that I had found the problem and fixed myself. I cleared the code and went on my way. However, after several days, the annoying little "Check Engine" light appeared again and reported the same issue. Like most of us, I felt deflated. So I decided to take it into anotherservice center to have a mechanic look at the issue. They couldn't find it and charged me for their time. They referred me to someone else. Go figure, another service center. I got the same response and results. You know that feeling of stress and frustration you get when you can't solve a problem? That's how I felt.I decided to find someone, anyone, that could help me out. It's urgency time and I really need to get this fixed. That's where I came across Zarkelly's. I knew where they were located on Wall Ave and decided to find out more. I researched them online and read these same reviews. After some careful thought and consideration, I decided to go check them out. Once I arrived at the store, I was immediately approached by Jeremy, the Service Writer and Lead Mechanic. I went on to explain the issues I was having with my truck and wanted to ask a few specific questions like if he had a smoke machine, used to detect evap leaks. Before I could even get to my question, he already answered it.HE ALREADY KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND KNEW ON HOW TO FIX IT.Got to say, I was pretty impressed. So I decided that I would leavemy truck with him and see what he could do. Jeremy knew how desperate I was to try and get this fixed and he went out of his busy day to get me taken care of. I thought that this was going to really cost me, but the price was much lower than I expected. Because of that, I also decided to get an oil change as well.I got my truck back at the end of the day and haven't had any issues yet. I am thoroughly impressed with this incredibly outstanding customer service by Jeremy. He went above and beyond to help me out.If you're looking for a good repair shop, I highly recommend Zarkelly's on 20th St and Wall Ave in Ogden. Jeremy is very intelligent and he knows what he's doing.Congratulations Zarkelly's! You have a new client.

Can’t express my gratitude enough, Mike Salazar is amazinggggg guy. He truly is a blessing. All he wanted to do was help me in a bad situation and he went above and beyond. If your looking for a honest person and car lot to work with this is the guy. He is no we’re near a typical sales man. He really cares about people and I wasn’t even a customer of his. I got into a wreck and he happen to be there. He offered to fix my car for a really fair price and did a great job can’t even tell that I was hit. Like I said I wasn’t even his customer and he helped me just because. He really is a great guy you want regret working with him. My second car will come from him. So I saw a car that Zarkelly Auctions was selling on KSL cars. I called one of the 2 guys there that have the authority to actually sell the cars. I told him what price I was willing to pay for the car and he said okay. I drove from Sandy to Ogden with my checkbook but neither guy was there and wouldn't be for a few days. I then spoke to THE main guy (Mike) and he also agreed on the price that his partner agreed on. He said he would deliver it within 2 days to Sandy so I wouldn't have to make another trip all the way to Ogden. We had a verbal contract. Then just before he delivered the car he got a better offer for it and told me he was breaking our deal. Despicable for a dealer to do something like that. With that big stack of Mormon books on his desk I was surprised that he would stoop so low. But then Utah is the fraud capital of the US isn't it.
