The most scamming company I have ever seen. I've had the supposed service for 3 years and they never helped me install, now they haven't stopped calling me to charge for something that is not installed or workingIt's garbage, we should sue them, it's a scam company. Please see the comments first before contacting this companyThis company should not exist I'm sorry but I'm tired of calling and they never answer2

HORRIBLE COMPANY! Very poor experiences with this company! I got Alder Security Aug of 2020 because someone broke into my apartment. Signed a 5 year contract. They shipped me the equipment and I installed it myself. Super simple. Customer service however was horrid. Rude, condescending and refused to help in any way when I had issues. Then, a couple of years later I moved. I was in an unsafe situation and had to leave the system at a previous location. I was told that if I wanted a new system I would have to pay for it. I was also told that I could not get out of my 5 year contract without paying the remaining balance.I paid on the contract every month, despite not having a system. (I didn’t have the money to buy a new one.) During this time I would get calls from the company asking me how I liked my services, etc. I received three calls, from three different people in the course of a week! I told all of them the same thing; I think your company is horrible, your customer service SUCKS! The 3rd person I spoke to added me to a do-not-call list. I still got calls.During this time myself and now husband purchased a house. We talked it over and decided we’d get a new system through Alder since we were already paying for it anyway. They sent me another system, free of charge, if I signed a new contract.Despite knowing better, because of previous experiences with the company, I did it anyway. I immediately regretted my decision! After the contract was signed they transferred me to the scheduling department for a tech to come install the new system. The agent in this department told me that it would be AT LEAST a week before they could even tell me when they would be able to schedule the appointment. She promised to call me in a week and update me. Two weeks went by, and nothing. I called and was told I’d have to wait AT LEAST another two weeks before they could schedule an appointment. I was also told that they can’t ship equipment because so many people were receiving damaged items, that they no longer ship. A tech is required.I was livid. I threatened legal action, and to file complaints with the BBB, and states of CO and UT. The account manager I was transferred to (because I told them I wanted to cancel the contract) told me he’d get the appointment set. I told him that he had two days to do so, or I would start filing complaints. Two hours later he called me back with an appointment scheduled for a few days later. The next day an agent calls to confirm the appointment. I confirm. Then, I get an email the day before saying the agreed upon appointment window and what not. Then, another email with a different window and tech name. The new appointment time comes and goes, and no tech. I call Alder twice. The first time I’m told they will call me back. The second, an hour later (and an hour after the appoint window ends) I’m told the tech will be late and needs another 3 HOURS to get there. I tell them I expect a full month refund. They say they will give a $10 credit plus a down time credit from the 4th when I signed the contract, until the equipment is installed. Irritating, but fine. Then, the tech does show up, an hour and a half after the appointment window ends. I was told I’d get a call when they were 1 hr to 30 min out. That didn’t happen. The tech is installing the system as I type this. Hopefully everything from here goes a little better, but I have to say, I’m not hopeful. If you’re considering this company, DO NOT DO IT!

Isaiah is the best technician I have ever had. He is so thorough, considerate, thoughtful, knowledgeable and kind. He takes time to tell you exactly what you need and how the system works. You will not go wrong working with him.

Crooks. The buyout percentage is insane. I was never told that I was going to be in a 60 month long agreement with this company. I was never told that there would be a 90% buyout if I was not going to use the service. When I went to the account manager he was trying to move mountains to keep me as a customer after I had been misinformed. It should not be this difficult to return equipment and cancel the service that I have not even started to use.I never write Google reviews And I normally let things slide, but I will negative review this company into the ground, and I will tell everyone I know to never do business with these shady individuals.Alder security gives sales people a bad name and I will be more than happy to drag y’all’s name for the foreseeable future.
