I work at an automotive repair shop, and 90% of my tools are Icon and Hercules. In the last 5 years, I have only had to warranty a ratchet and a breaker bar that was used beyond its capacity. Also, buying tools from Harbor Freight has allowed me to own everything now and not have to worry about spending several years paying off the more expensive tool truck brands. I am not implying that Harbor Freight tools are better than the tool trucks, but even they agree that Harbor Freight tools are of good quality.

It's not worth the savings anymore at Harbour Freight. One cashier, 16 people waiting in line, 2 girl employees at another register talking, laughing etc. Another person in line asked if they were going to open another register soon. "Your just going to have to wait". One of them said. Nope, I don't have to wait. Headed to Home Depot to get my took case. I actually saved $300.00 buying it at home depot.
I know nobody at H.F. cares if I didn't buy my $1200.00 tool case at their store. I'm sick of the lousy service that I get at H.F. Besides, their prices are outrageous!!
Just a person that will never buy from H.F. Again!!

Helpful staff if you're trying to find something, they'll check in the back to see if they're out of something on the shelf.

I don’t expect employees of any company to bend down and kiss my feet, but I do generally expect a certain level of help and accommodations for customers patronizing a store. Being helpful is generally the main job of a customer service industry job. So when I came in to this location with my two young kids, my hands were pretty full. I was however able to grab the slip of paper for the tool I needed, which I promptly brought to the front of the store to check out. I was then told by one of the 3 employees standing around not doing anything(as the store was nearly empty) that I need to go get a cart and go back to the shelf and get the large tool myself. After doing that, having to put my kids down where they immediately ran off, after herding them back up, I was shuffled around different check stands instead of the first one I went to. Once again I don’t expect to be fed grapes off the vine or anything but maybe an offer of, “sir would you like me to go get that item for you” would have gone a long way. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect that level of customer service.
