The lady was so rude today when getting some socks and she didn’t seem like she wanted to help me purchase my item and she kept talking about the rewards . I told her no thank you and she kept bring it up and it really kind of made me angry and she needs to learn to not ask over and over again. and after she said that she was just doing her job, but that’s not how she treats customers and i’m never returning to this store to purchase anything from you guys. Since I’ve been treated like this

I got a birthday gift of an earring set but one of the earrings was missing. I went to the store with my husband who gave me the earrings. We asked what could be done. The girl who helped us was so mean. The first thing she said after we told her what happened was “well if he had noticed when he bought the earrings, we could have discounted it but there’s nothing we can do now.” I have no clue how that information is helpful to the situation. I asked if we could return the items, she said yes. Then I asked if I could buy a new set with my own money with my card. She said that was not allowed because then it would be an exchange and exchanges are not allowed for jewelry. I said I didn’t understand because my husband would be returning the jewelry and would receive the refund, I would pay for the new set myself with my own money using a separate card. She got really angry and started shouting at me that I couldn’t do this because this is an exchange. I asked, so we can return this earring set, and then we couldn’t buy any jewelry after? She shouted “fine! I’ll do it this one time!” I said thank you, and she rolled her eyes.
I never once raised my voice, or degraded her. But being yelled at on your birthday in front of your friends is another level of hurt. All I wanted was clarification. I was fine if I couldn’t exchange it, I just wanted to understand the rules. Money or getting a new set of earrings was not a priority, I seriously only wanted to know what the rule was!!
Being treated like that is enough to make me never go back. I’ll just order online next time. I’ve been shopping at hot topic for over 12 years and I’ve never been treated so horribly before.

Love it here, and the people there are always nice and considerate. I wish the store was bigger cause its so packed with how tiny it is and even more so when there are people there and they are always at least a few people if not then there are a ton of people making a tight squeeze or having to wait to see things. I also wish there was more of a selection of products, especially in the plus sizes. Other than those few things, I love it here and the product they sell and is one of my go to places for fun, unique, cute, and fandom type clothing, accessories, and much more!

Khatie was a huge help! When I told her what kind of stuff k was looking for she was able to point me in the direction of so many options. I was able to find TWO perfect gifts because of her! She also made sure I was aware of all store deals and benefits. The customer service was fantastic and Khatie was so sweet and fun to talk to.
