Really disappointing. My husband went into See a month ago, for my birthday, and bought me a 6 piece box of assorted chocolates and had no issue. We are starting IVF today and wanted a sweet treat to celebrate to occasion. I went in and was passed over twice at the counter and watched as the people in line behind me were being helped. I finally asked for assistance and asked for a box of 6 assorted chocolates and they kept telling me that that was not possible. I spoke with the manager and she asked me what the chocolate box looked like and told me my husband probably bought them from a different chocolate. I told her I was 100% confident that he bought them from their store. And she told me again that wasn’t possible, I felt very gaslit (I know where the chocolates were from!!!) she suggested I get the 1/2 lb box, again… when I said I didn’t want that for the millionth time she finally suggested I buy the chocolates by the lb! Why didn’t anyone start with that option, I would be totally happy to do that!!!! I told her I would love to do that and then she said she couldn’t actually help me and I needed to wait for someone. I stood in line for another 5 minutes and got passed over by another 3 people. I finally just left the store. I wanted something to celebrate a happy and emotional occasion but left feeling over looked and sad! Would recommend going to the new chocolate store in the university mall. Way more helpful.

I have been coming to this store for many years. When my family has a guest from a foreign country come visit us, I buy a box of chocolates from here to give as a gift to the guest. When I buy the chocolates, I am careful that the outside look of the box is in good condition as well as having it wrapped nicely. In the past, when I have come to See’s and mentioned that the chocolates were a gift for a foreign guest, the See’s workers have always enthusiastically and cheerfully taken extra care. However, yesterday, when I went to the store, the worker, who I have never met before and who doesn’t know me at all, quickly made false judgments of me. She spent much of the time as she was interacting with me making jabbing, negative judgmental comments to me. Prior to speaking with her, I was perfectly happy and relaxed and just taking care of a simple task. This worker interpreted my desire to have a nice-looking gift as me being stressed. She made comments as to how my day must have been and how my day was going to be, what life looks like for me…describing me as some kind of stressed-out individual. I wasn’t stressed. It is normal to me to pick out gifts that do not have small dents on the outer box and to choose nice gift bags to put them in. Maybe this worker felt that having gifts look nice is not something to value. I don’t know. She spoke with such blatant, critical judging of me. She felt free to say whatever thing she wanted to me and seemed to be unaware of how rudely she was speaking. I noticed she was trying to speak with a kind voice, but her words were cutting and judgmental. It was such an off-putting experience. It was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. I know the name of this employee. It is recorded on my receipt. I wish that her supervisor/manager could be made aware of this and speak to her about her uncalled for behavior.

Dale is the lifeblood of this location. Yes the chocolate is delicious, but he adds so much joy when I stop by to buy some chocolates.

I called ahead about 15 minutes before closure. Traffic issues. I was told they would close at 7:00.I arrived at 7:02. They were definitely closed. That speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction and going the extra mile for the customer. I'll never purchase my Sees candy from that location.

The staff is so kind. They know my 94-year-old mother who is going through radiation and run out to greet her when she comes in. They truly make her feel loved and adored and like she is home.
