The amount of frustration I feel with this pharmacy is ridiculous. I only have one prescription that I get filled there because my other pharmacy is not allowed to carry the medication. By the way, if you want an amazing pharmacy, go to Orem family pharmacy. They’re quick and friendly and it’s just a great environment. Now back to Smith’s pharmacy, I’ve picked only two prescriptions there in the past three weeks. The first time my doctor sent it over, I was told I could pick it up on a Tuesday. So I show up on a Tuesday. They tell me I can’t pick it up because it’s down as a refill and it’s not yet ready to refill. I tell them it’s not a refill, I tell them it’s a higher dosage and they say oh yeah I can see that now. And then they tell me to come back later. So I come back later. And then they tell me they can’t fill it because I have to have taken 90% of the previous prescription, even though it’s a lower dose, before I can get this one filled, per federal regulation. Now I would never want them to go against federal regulation. But why didn’t they tell me this the first time I went in? So then this medication isn’t really working for me so my doctor sends over a different medication. And I get a text and I go to the drive up window to pick it up. Here I am 10 minutes later at the drive up window having pressed the call button five times until I realize they’re either really busy or this does not work. So I go into a massively long line of people waiting to pick up medication’s. With one person at the register and five or six people back helping to get prescriptions ready. Finally, another person comes out to check patients out, and luckily it’s my turn. I go up there and I ask her if the drive up window is working. She says it’s not and then laughs. I said well that would be helpful to know since I was sitting there for 10 minutes. Maybe somebody could’ve put up a sign. And then she laughed again and says oh yeah that’s a good idea. I’m pretty sure I could’ve told her that an asteroid was gonna hit the building and she still would’ve laughed. Finally, I get my prescription and left. God knows if I could get this prescription filled somewhere else I would in a heartbeat. Who the hell is running that place anyways?

Been using these guys for years, never had any problems, they're always helpful and I've never had any prescriptions unrefilled, they fill my prescriptions quickly, they're always friendly.

Worse service and pharmacists ever very disappointed not friendly I had a voucher for my meds waited for 2 hours for nothing and I had to pay for my meds I will not be back to this pharmacy again!!🙄

I used to love this pharmacy so much. Last four trips they tell me my refill is ready and then I get there they tell me it’s another 30 min. Why do they keep telling me it’s ready and it’s not? Now my most recent trip I called in on Friday to make sure my refill was ready. Due to work hours I wasn’t able to catch them open. When I came in two days later they told me it wasn’t ready. I asked how I called in on Friday and they said it was ready for pick up. This pharmacist then tells me “oh it looks like they unrefilled it” after two days? I called in on Friday? The pharmacist here are so rude and unprofessional. You ask them what happened or what’s going on and they never have an answer or just say “hmm not sure” you’re working with sick people and as a pharmacist you’re not sure?

Everytime I go to get my prescription they're either closed or they don't have it. I've had my dr call them everytime and they still can not get this right

The pharmacy at Smith's in Orem Utah is very difficult. They will send you a text saying that your prescription is ready. You go in two days later and it is not ready.
This has happened multiple times. I have tried to give them chance after chance but they never resolve the issue. I go there multiple times to pick up a single prescription and they don't have it ready. They tell you it will be 20 minutes and it's 40 until it's ready to be picked up.
They constantly make excuses that they're very busy. I don't have a problem with them being busy, or even slow. The problem I have is that they send you a text telling you that your prescription is ready and it is not. Then when you arrive, they tell you that they will get it ready in 10 minutes but it takes 20 or 30 more. Please just be honest.
That is the issue I have.
I would suggest nobody go to this pharmacy.

This pharmacy does the best they can with the utilities that "Smiths Corp" allows. What people forget is that there are busy times that they they should expect a wait time. Grow-up and deal with it! The entitled elderly can be absurd! Waiting a little bit longer for your RX is a first world problem and there are far worse things to worry about. The Orem Smiths Pharmacy overall is a great pharmacy.

I’ve been using this pharmacy for 3 months now and that was long enough. As a Type 1 Diabetic I make a lot of trips to the pharmacy and I have never been pleased with their service. The service is always slow, the technicians don’t seem to have adequate training and when an issues with insurance arises there is no communication between the pharmacy and the customer. My final straw was when I called today and they informed that insulin was out of stalk. In my opinion that should. Ever happen. I have previously been using the Smiths pharmacy in St. George, UT and it was amazing!

This is a BUSY pharmacy. They seem to have their act together and go out of their way to get you the lowest price using discount cards etc., often without being asked.

Your friendly Smiths family. Fast service with a smile! Very clean atmosphere and a good selection of over the counter drugs as well. I've been going here for over a year and never had an issue with my prescriptions. I live 80 miles from their store but worth the travel for the service.

5 years I’ve been with this pharmacy, and outside about 2 small situations that were still resolved same day, I can say they’ve been great.I’m aware they have been slow, drive thru isn’t always open etc, but when it comes to needing my prescription on time, they have not failed.Only once, did a member of their staff need a little inspiration from my prescribers office to get the order filled.Every other time they’ve been entirely reliable and entirely helpful. On this day I showed up with the gate only slightly ajar, 2 minutes past closing time (on a Sunday). They knocked it out in 2 minutes and I was on my way.All things said and done, I leave 5 stars because they have been absolutely reliable.They don’t know this, but despite shortages and other complications… I have not yet missed 1 full day of a prescription in over 5 years.RELIABLE!
