I wouldn't go here again if you paid me. They said they required a background check on me (and wanted to charge me $40 for it) even though I have a CFP, and I showed them my original purchase receipt (from Al's, Orem)! and a written note from my son, who dropped it off for repair for me, saying it was my gun and I'd pick it up [as he had returned to Kauai where he lives and couldn't pick it up]. So I had to fill out a 4473, like I was buying a new gun. MY GUN!!* What a bunch of crap! Then the checkout guy took about 5 minutes to try to figure out how to simply charge me for the work, on a regular credit card. He's an idiot, or very incompetent at best. It was exasperating. They may do decent gun work, IDK, but I will never go to Strange Tacitcal again and go through all the red tape, the agravation, endless, useless waiting, and overall poor customer service.

Terrible experience. I had them retap my CZ slide. I needed it ready for a trip and dropped it off a week in advance. Called everyday to follow up and both Keith and Cory were terrible communicators. I showed up the day I was leaving and no work had been done. They were not able to preform a simple retapping of the slide. This store does not have competent gunsmiths. Do NOT turn over your firearms to them to work on.

I ordered my gun on a whim a bit ago and the outcome is extraordinary. From the beginning they did an amazing job with communication. I received updates throughout the process and I never once felt out of the loop. Receiving the product I am astonished. The attention to detail and presentation have me in awe. I cannot recommend working with them enough!

I was having some issues with my PSA 5.7 recently so I took it in to have the SG team take a look at it. Everyone was really welcoming and easy to talk to! They took the time to explain and update along the wait which was pretty fast for as many projects and other fixes they had ahead of me. After getting it back I took it to the range and ran a few hundred rounds through it with no problems. I definitely 100% recommend this place!!
